For a fine view of Tokyo, take a climb up Tokyo Tower in Roppongi. You can get fine views of the vast city, including Tokyo Harbor and the Rainbow Bridge. If your weather is crystal clear (and it never has been for me) you can even see Mt. Fuji off to the west. Tokyo Tower was designed to look like the Eiffel Tower, but it is actually bigger, though its placement in the middle of urban structures belies that fact.

I can seem to find a Tokyo Tower picture with right exposure. I have to make do with the visiting ticket.
You can see Tokyo Tower from miles, unless you're blocked by really tall building.
I visited Tokyo Tower at night, and its all started by taking a short walk from ANA hotel & suddenly distracted by the beautiful view of the tower.

The great Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and resembles pretty much the Tour Eiffel in Paris. However in the Japanese striving for perfection they built a much better tower than the Paris original: with a height of 333 m it is 11 m higher than the Eiffel Tower and much lighter. There are observatories in 150 m and 250 m height. The Entrance fee for the first is 820 ¥ and for the special observatory there is another fee to be paid at the first one. This one costs around another 500 ¥. This is quite expensive for Tokyo but the views of Shinjuku, Roppongi Hills, the Imperial Palace Gardens and Odaiba are very stunning.
Underneath the tower is a shopping mall with restaurants and lots of souvenir stores as well as a wax figure cabinett and the Modern Science Museum which cost extra.

The Tokyo Tower measures up to 333 meters and is 13 meters taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It was completed in the year 1958 and serves as a television and radio broadcast antenna and tourist attraction.
The highest you can get is at 250 meters. And what an spectacular view.
It's about 1500 yen to get up there.

This place is a must. Go there at night. It's so beautiful. If you meet with good weather, pay some extra money to the top floor. Guess it's about 600yen. The entrance fees for Tokyo tower is about 800 yen. Unforgetable memory.

Tokyo Tower is 333 meters tall. It was completed in the year 1958 as a symbol for Japan's rebirth as a major economic power, and serves as a television and radio broadcast antenna and tourist attraction.
You can ascend to the main observatory at 150 meters and the special observatory at 250 meters to get a bird's eye view of Tokyo. Under good weather conditions, Mount Fuji can be seen in the distance.
But nowaday, tourist is getting less since they are lots of new tourist spot located in Tokyo such as Roppongi Hill and Disneyland.

Tokyo Tower is actually taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it is also uglier! The tower is a bright orange monstrosity that sits really close to Roppongi and is unforntunately visable all over the city. An aquarium, wax museum and several more attractions can be found on the ground floors of the tower. But they charge a fee to get into those.
The only good thing about the tower (Other than the fact that it is useful for broadcasting TV signals) is the view of the city from the top. On a good day, you can even see Mt. Fuji. It costs about 1500 Yen to get to the top, but you can be like Japanese Children and get a little stamp commemorating your visit to the tower. It is a free souvenier that you can't get anywhere else.

View from the Tower is quite something especially on a clear day although the smog spoils it a bit. There are 2 view points, one at 150 metres and the other at 250 metres.
There is an observation lounge at the top, as well as a wax museum and restaurants.
