Torii

Try to locate the shrine in Ueno park. The row of torii gates standing over a flight of steps leading downwards towards the shrine is an interesting sight.

Shinobazu pond

Annual stop for thousand of migrating birds, it is actually 3 ponds linked together. You can rent small boat and have a quiet ride on the pond.

There are multiple buildings making this shrine. They are some of the few remaining structures of the Edo era. (16th-17th century)
