Try to locate the shrine in Ueno park. The row of torii gates standing over a flight of steps leading downwards towards the shrine is an interesting sight.

When I was a child in 70's, two panda came to Japan from China.
Ueno zoo was always crawling with many people. So I could not go Ueno.
Finally I could met her!
Now she came from Mexico to make baby.

Annual stop for thousand of migrating birds, it is actually 3 ponds linked together. You can rent small boat and have a quiet ride on the pond.

This is a beautiful experience...walk through a serie of red "torii" (gates), once inside the area, numerous red-bibbed Inari foxes welcome you in an atmosphere of grotto...very spiritual
