To be honest, the museum itself is of marginal interest. What I did like though is the beer tasting.

For 500 yen, you get a four glass tasting set. Good value and great fun.

Prices have been put up recently, but it's still pretty good value.

the yebisu garden tower offers a great view of tokyo city especially at sunset. so go there and enjoy the moment with your sweetie or your friends. then you can have dinner at the many dining options in the same building or around the area. no entrance fees. be sure to climb to the top - 38F to get the best view.

They have big beer cans at the Yebisu Beer Museum

Yebisu Gardens is a new urban beighborhood that completely lacks gardens -- in fact it is mostly brick, steel, glass and concrete. However, from those elements they have created a beer museum right next to the headquarters for Sapporro Beer. Best of all, the Beer Museum is free and they give you a small sample of the latst brew for free upon entrance. While the exhibits are mostly labeled and Japanese and not terribly riveting, the presentation is attractive and it only takes about a half hour to walk through everything. I took longer because my weekend visit coincided with an excellent opera performance (opera and beer, of course they go together!). After the tour, you are deposited into a modern beer hall lined with fancy steins from around the world. Get a sampler for Y500 and find a space at a table and you'll have a good rest before hitting the nearby museum of photography (or the nearby restroom).
