There are no street signs in Tokyo which made it extremely difficult to get around. Because most of the streets and buildings look similar i was always getting lost!
Unique Suggestions: Ask people where you are and how to get to your destination, Japanese people are very friendly and welcoming, dont be shy to ask ;)

It seems like there are very few CIRRUS machines (and more PLUS machines). Also, be careful when entering amount as sometimes the machine asks you "How many 10,000 Yen notes would you like" rather than "How much Yen do you want to withdraw"
Other than that I would have to say that the Japanese are the nicest people in the world. Japan is the safest country I have been to.
