Haneda Airport is an airport with an international airline and a domestic flight, is located in Tokyo-to as a gate way to Japan.[Back to Tokyo-to]

The airport limousine bus is one of the cheapest and comfortable ways of getting from the airport to various parts of Tokyo, especially the hotels. There is good efficiency and they even have a website in English for you to plan before (see below). Still it will cost you an average of about US$30 for a single trip, but this is what you should expect when visiting Japan because the standard of living here is very high.

The best and cheapest way to fet around Tokyo is to take the Tokyo sub-way system. The sub-way system in Tokyo is very complicated so you have to be very careful to find your way around, especially at the Shinjuku station which is really huge with many different lines. However, there are signages in English which will provide some help. If you are at Tokyo sub-way station, do admire the beautiful architecture of this historical station as shown in the photos. Please also check out the website below which may be of some help to you.

Yes, good app, but...The problem with these applications is that they use data to stream info to your phone. The roaming charge in Japan for data is about $28/MB. You can easily run up a $250+ bill for data that you won't even know about until a month after you are back home.If you don't have a local phone, it's just as easy to save the train maps to your phone as a PDF. It's free, and it works.http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/info/map_a4ol.pdfhttp://www.tokyometro.jp/global/en/service/pdf/routemap_en.pdfIn the past I have used Google maps to zoom in on part of a town, around a specific train station for instance, and saved a copy of that map as a PDF, and transferred it to my phone using an app like "Air Sharing". I have found this to be much better than any map app available as I can customize the exact information I need to fit my needs. If for some reason I need info that I haven't covered...

THE GREAT THING ABOUT THE "SUICA CARD " IS THAT IT COVERS A LOT OF MODES OF TRANSPORTATION...SUCH AS CITY BUSES...SUBWAYS AND TRAINS AND ALSO IT AND A NEX CARD GET YOU ON THE NARITA EXPRESS..ALSO GOOD ON THE KESEI TRAIN...As of March 18, 2007, all of Tokyo's trains and subways can finally be used with a single ticket: the Suica or PASMO prepaid card. Before, travelers had to deal with two incompatible prepaid card systems: Suica (for JR trains) and Passnet (for subways and other non-JR trains). Suica/PASMO cards can be purchased at vending machines and ticket counters in railway stations of Japan Railways (Suica) and other railway companies (PASMO) in the Greater Tokyo region. The initial cost consists of a refundable deposit of 500 Yen plus an initial amount to be charged onto the card.
