tHE NAME SHINAMONE IS FROM THE NARA ERA, THE TIME OF THE TANKAS, IT MEANS DAWN. RATHER PRETTY NAME FOR A RESTAURANT
OWNED AND OPERATED AND COOKED BY A MIDDLE AGED LADY WHO IS VERY POLITE, BEHIND HER ALL SORTS OF LOCAL SAKE IS IN DISPLAY. DRINKING PLACES TEND TO HAVE GOOD FOOD, I HAVE FOUND OUT.
TATAYAMA SAKE WAS GOOD, BOUGHT A BOTTLE TO BRING BACK TO DRINK DREAMING ABOUT THE DELICIOUS JAPANESE FOOD WHILE EXILED IN THE MIDWEST.
Favorite Dish: aLSO HAD BREEM

Small western style restaurant nestled among the leaves of the park, with a calming view of the same. As the name implies they claim to be italian but it is best described as japanese italian.
Favorite Dish: Did not try any of the antipasto, there was a selection of few spaghetti ( couldnt try most of them because they had either ham or bacon in it ), a limited wine list.
Pizza selections also had bacon or ham, so chose pizza margherita.
The taste is a bit unique in that it does not have that crusty feel to it, but the soft feeling of japanese food.
Unless you have to have some italian food I would say give this place a miss..
