We sat on the patio and had a delicious feast of Chinese food. We also had Tsingtao beer to wash it all down. Across the street is the Circus, wished I could have gone there it looked like a large event. In the background you can see the towering snow-capped Tian Shan mountains, beautiful!
The food is very good and the service was outstanding and it was all fairly inexpensive, strongly recommended.

The beer selection here is outstanding featuring Belgian beers.There was live music set in the middle of a sailing ship.

Near the Medeo Skating Rink is a nice restaurant and hotel. The rooms and restaurant is in jurts. ONe of the jurts is a small museum showing the interior of a traditional jurt and some dresses of the locals. The restaurant offers local dishes like horsemeat and manty (Pasta squares filled with meat). There is a special jurt for weddings. The toilets are nice and clean. I had horse milk with over-easy eggs on top of tomatoes for breakfast. Horse milk is very nutricious if you can get past the bitterness and it also has an intoxicating after effect! I added an expresso for good measure.

I was told they have a jazz and rock band playing almost every Friday and Satuday night but we had missed out on that. They had other European cuisine and Holland and Irish beer on tap. There were pool tables inside as well.

 Feast your eyes on the girls

Most of the people in this place were Kazakh, and there were few Russians. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures. My mistake was asking if it was OK to take pictures :P
The show starts at 8pm, at least on Thursday nights!
I had the Kara-Kyzyl Salad (Black-Red or simply, Olives & Tomotoes Salad), Camel Besbarmak (Camel Meat with flat, square-shaped noodles called Naryn), and Pakhlava for dessert. Incidentally, that was the first time I had camel meat, and it tasted like pork. Or maybe I pointed to the wrong thing... They had English menus though!
