The "theroritical" center of the city is the large plazza surrounded by governemnt buildings and moniumnets to significant events in its history and those that celebrate its origins and people.

Even at the occasion of a very short stay in Bishkek you should not miss a trip to the nearby mountains, it is really nice.

As in any Asian country, you just have to visit the local market with its bright colors, fresh fruits, loud voices and bustling life everywhere. Do not forget to bargain!
