Tamchy Things to Do

I can't really think of anything else to do in Tamchy other than veg out at the beach. Lake Issyk-kul is swimmable - surprising given its altitude. Many Russians from Kazakhstan come here on vacation. It's a quieter beach than nearby Cholpon-Ata. However, those expecting a pristine stretch of sand will be disappointed - it's swampy around the beach and the sand itself is kind of pebbly. Locals like it because it's all they've got. Most of us have seen much better.
