    Royal Palace and Mekong River

    The former Royal Palace is now a museum. Not too much inside, but the grounds are worth a stroll. Several temples in the compound are very colorful in a uniquely Laotian style.

    Wat Xieng Thong is one of the most amazing and beautiful templets in woen. But I have seen others which were as beautiful as this one!

    This is a nice pond between Rama hotel and Mount Pousi. During the afternoon Lao men are playing games with bowls at the pond!

    The entrance

    This little temple in the east side of the town is nor essential but is woth a visit.
    You can find it in Visounalat Street, near the Lao Aviation Offices.

    Luang Prabang is temple town!
    Simply walk from one end of the main street to the other and you will pass many of Luang Prabangs temples.
    Thanon Sakalin contains the main historic temple district.

    There are two caves, a lower and a higher and both are filled up with Buddha's ...

    The best way to get there is to charter a boat for around 10-15 EUR/USD.
