Unique Places in Khoueng Phongsali

Walking is the main transportation mean in these mountains where there are not many roads.
You can find a guide at the tourist office of Phongsaly city or just ask in the guesthouse where you stay if they know somebody.
Never go to the villages on your own, the authorities should be informed about your trip and you should be introduced to the head of the village you cross. It is very important in these remote areas, so please do not break the rule, your pleasure will be higher.
Having a guide will help you to understand the life of the poor people living there and maybe to get the appropriate behaviour (if there is one) towards them. Villages are not zoo, do not forget it.
