Quite amazing!
Here You can find everything that You can find in Thailand, but I didn´t find it cheaper.
The goldmarket at second floor was incredible, I have never seen so much gold in my lifetime - is it real gold??? - very strange!
What to buy: Clothes, handicrafts, shoes, opium pipes etc....
It is hard to find things that You want to buy, t-shirts????
What to pay: You must haggle a lot to get a good price, the normal price is 30- 50 % of the asked price.

The morning market is the only place in Laos you can say is a good shopping area. It's really big and you can by just about everything there. If you want to buy the gold jewlery you better note that, although Laos has its own gold mines they are scarce so most of the gold is imported from Australia. So you are offered something at an exeptionaly low price, you might be buying a fake.

This is a large market that sells a bit of everything. From Lao textiles, watches, clothing, homewares to food. You won't be disappointed here. We bought some great Lao scarves here.
