by coolbrian After one day's hard bike tour around Vang Vieng, enjoying yourself in this restaurant of real Indian atmosphere is quite easygoing.
Chicken Brani: curry rice with steamed chicken and egg, so tasty. Rudi: a kind of round roasted cake, eaten with curry spice, good flavour. Leave a Comment Theme: IndianAddress: 33 Ban Sengsavang (Near Planet Cafe) Vang ViengPhone: (856) 023-511214

by l_joo A restaurant with pigs, chickens and kids runing around, after having our lunch at the Cafe, I go for toilet, everywhere is toilet, so I guess that's the biggest toilet in the whole world. How local Loas people eating? they have some dishes on the table with one leg on the chair, one hand holding rice with plate, just rice. Too hard for me to describe but very interesting. i wish that i could remember the name but there is a great indian restaurant on the main street facing the water in Vientienne. I ate with about seven other people and every shared their dishes. I must say each dish was delicious and their Nan and nan with garlic were both amazing. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The Organic Farm Café In Vang Viang. They serve you delicous food (many vegetarian dishes). Everything on your plate is from the Organic Farm. The Organic Farm in Vang Viang is a project of local people (especially women) and volunteers from around the world to promote organic farming and te renew the traditional silk industry in Laos. So you're not just having a good meal, you're also supporting a local initiative! You can also buy mulberry tea (yummy and healthy), mulberry wine, sundried fruits. If you visit the Organic Farm, you can buy silk scarves (very beautiful, I bought two).
Everything is delicious, but their speciality are deep fried mulberry leaves, mulberry pancakes and mulberry shake.Every time we visited the restaurant, we got a free cup of mulberry tea. The mulberry leave is the main food of the silk worms. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: the main street of Vang Viang.

by tanjake Lamach in Luang Prabang. This cosy little restaurant is owned by a mother and her daughters. We ate there practically everyday: the food was delicious (good choice of vegetarian dishes)and the people so nice. Cosy and the service is so good, you get the feeling you're a friend of the family rather than a costumer...
For me as a vegetarian, the menu was a feast. Everything I've tried was good, but I liked vegetarian spring rolls and the Lap tofu (spicy tofu salad) very much. Also: probably the best fruitshakes in town!!! Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Xiang Thong Road

by LAOWAI Anywhere and everywhere that sells BEER LAO. BEER LAO is 51 % owned by Thailand and it is interesting that it is not sold in Thailand. WHY? It seems to be that Thailand doesn't want to admit that little Lao does something better than them. And HOW!
