Casino

by ifam

Well, not that i am a gambler or anything like that, but surely one would agree that this place is also popular for gambling activities, in the casino off course... I have this opportunities to go inside and look at how some very lucky people can be a quick milionaire in jus a nite and how a milionaire can bcome less rich in just a nite too hahahaha...well up to your ownself actually....though i strongly dont recommend anyone to gamble hahaha ...coz we already gamble our life enough i would say... Cold winter...

Money Matters

by dejavu2gb

Just a another quick tip that is quite relevant. When travelling to Macau from Hong Kong, you need not change your currency from Hong Kong Dollars to Patacas. Hong Kong Dollars are widely accepted in Macau, so you dont need to change your money.

Try the Slot Machine No Matter What!!!

by Jeannkelly

Don't miss that slot machine! That's what Macau is famous for - gambling!!!I've never seen so much money enjoyed, won and wasted until I came to Macau... However, for the heck of it, waste or get lucky with your 10 HKG dollars and make that memorable bet in the slot machine ;-) It's worth it all!

Buying your ferry tickets and hotel in Macau

by arni_ph075

As most of the traveller to Macau are departing from Hongkong.. Hongkong Macau Ferry Terminal(in Central) is the best place and cheapest to buy your package going to Macau. There are more than 20 travel agencies, on the building, all are selling overnight package to Macau, inclusions are: overnight hotel accommodation and roundtrip turbo jet fare for 2 person. Scout around once you got a hotel in mind and bargain hard, some agency got special affiliation with hotels thus they could give you bargain price. If your schedule is flexible, I recommend to stay away from weekend travel (staying Friday/Sat in Macau), as its the most expensive time for hotels.. We took the package leaving HK on Sunday, and returning Monday, and was able to save 40% off. Cool deal.

Try the tasty fried dumplings along Largo Senado

by arni_ph075

Take a bite of the yummy fried dumplings .. Dumpling is steamed then lightly fried in a rotating dish.. One of the highlights of my Macau trip is eating fried dumplings, for only MPO$1.00 per piece (really really cheap but truly delicious). Its always a fascination for me to try on what locals eat, and this one is really great..The small store is located on left side of main street along Largo, before reaching the Body Shop store. Its only a small stall on those alleys, (I dont think there is a street name ) but you would see people queueng to buy the dumplings. (day and night)We discover it while walking on the Largo de Senado, I notice a lot of students and locals eating (while walking) friend dumplings on barbeque sticks..

Macau Palace Floating Casino

by Gingerkitten

The Chinese come to Macau for the Casinos. I stopped in a floating casino and was a little dissapointed. OK it ain't Vegas that is for sure but the bet limits are low. Most slot machines accept 2 or 5HKD (like 20-50 Euro cent). My husband did okay on the machines but there were no stools to sit down! It was VERY light and bright inside too. I have read somewhere that Steve Wynn and some other Vegas Big Shots have been making plans for Vegas type casinos in Macau. When we were there they were building up one whole side of waterfront with casinos. They are building a complete replica of the Venitian in Vegas complete with gondolas. Due to be completed in 2007 I think.

TRIP to MACAU!

by ShirlyZ

Several high-speed vessels serve the 40-mile route between Hong Kong and Macau. There are more than 100 sailings throughout the day and evening, with all-night service by jetfoils. Youshould be at the terminal at least 30 mins before departure..

Egg tarts anyone?

by dmirebella

Now.. how can I leave Macau without mentioning food.. and when I talk about food.. I think EGGTARTS!! The Porteguese eggtarts to be exact. Like my other `passions' - I have this tendency to try out egg-tarts and apart from this lil shop in HK at Wanchai to be exact.. Macau is absolute HEAVEN for a glutton as I am.. PLS PLS.. do not leave Macau without giving it a try.

Macau Grand Prix

by Stevo_Jess

Best place to watch the Grand Prix is to get a track room in Oriental Hotel. It may cost quite a bit but worth every single cents there !
