St. Dominic’s church was built in 1587 by Spanish Dominican priests. It’s located near the Senado Square and now became a part of Historic Center of Macau. It is easily seen once you enter the Senado Square.

Senado Square is where you can buy various souvenir gifts and stuffs like shirts, keychains, mugs, etc. It remains the central business district up to this day. Within the vicinity lies the St. Augustine Church and the Leal Senado Building. The square is part of the historic center of Macau.(Sorry for the watermarks in some of the pictures)

Cathedral de Macau

by theguardianangel

Cathedral de Macau was built in 1622, with a simple design having its exterior covered with rough plaster. If you want to take pictures inside the church, just deactivate your camera’s flash so you won’t get disturbed by this old lady who watches over the place. The old lady prohibits taking of pictures while inside the church if she caught you with your camera she will let you out of the religious place and you don’t want that right?I believe that the old lady just wanted the tourists to respect the church as a place of worship as well as the people inside who prays.

All-around Macau

by buenababe

Macau Day trip...From the ferry, you can take the bus going to the hotels for free. They are outside the ferry terminal lining up so you can just if which place a specific bus is going. Most bus are also painted with the hotel's name. You can visit the Sands, and across it is the Fisherman's Wharf. You can also visit the Macau Grand Prix Museum where cool cars are there. And yeah, visiting the Ruin's of St. Paul is a must-do. You can also walk up a few meters to the Macau Museum while enjoying the view of Macau since it is a bit elevated. Also, don't miss authentic noodle food at their market, a few distance from the Ruins of St. Paul. It is so far the best noodles i have tasted. After that, you can take the bus going to Venetian Hotel and Galaxy Hotel. It is on a separate island. You have to prepare exact amount for bus fare, HKD can be used in Macau, but Macau Pataca isnt accepted in...

The Venetian Macao

by yann.ng

The Venetian Macao is a resort hotel, casino and sight-seeing place all in one.Its interior and exterior designs are based on Venice, Italy. Having been to Venice before, I must say they really tried to make the place like the real Venice. However it is a more glamourous version of the real Venice which is kind of old and run down. Check out the painted ceilings for blue-sky and white clouds and how they tune the lighting of different areas of the shopping mall to portray different time of the day.I was there after 11pm, therefore most of the shops were close and it was very nice and quiet to just stroll around and enjoy the interior designs. A very good break away from the smoky casino downstairs. The gondola service has stopped by the time I was there and were just quietly parked by the "river bank".

Fort de Guia

by Cielo_Algaeed

Guia Fortress was built in 1637, the highest point in Macau. It was designed to defend Macau from attacks from the sea, but because of its position overlooking the entire city, it was turned to be an observation post. You can find a chapel within the area dedicated to Our Lady Of Guia.Today, the most prominent feature in the hill is the lighthouse which was built during 18th century..the oldest in the China coast.Great View from the top but a little bit tiring going up and down the hill.

Senado Square

by Cielo_Algaeed

Senado Square is a rendezvous or a meeting place both for locals and tourists because of its strategic location. The floor is made up of black and white cobble stone pattterns that make it so unique and chique! The buildings around it are so attractive not only because of its intricate designs but moreso because of the unique European (Portuguese) bright colors especially at night. The place is still popular venue for special events, expositions, trade and shows.Shops, restaurants and cafes are within the area. This serves as the central place for Macau as it is adjacent to major tourist spots and historical places.

Sands Casino

by Stevo_Jess

I have been to many casino around the world including those on the Las Vegas Strip. This Casino is huge and grand on the inside. However, unless you are used to Chinese Tourist behavior, avoid this place cos the smoking and shouting is very irritaring. The stakes here are also quite high .
