The Venetian Casino: fun for day & night

When you want to go to a Casino, the Venetian might be a good choice, mainly for its unique architecture that was funny for me to see at the end of our sightseeing-tour in Macao.
This place is a Casino, a shoppingcentre and even hotel, when I remember that correctely and you can also take a gondolaride. And from time to time some window might open and a Tenor dressed like in an opera starts singing "Oh Sole mio", well just like in Italy ;-)))
The Venetian in Macao is obviously the biggest Casino on earth with 550,000 square feet (=51,000 m2) of Casino-space, 800 gambling tables and 3400 slot machines !
In some way this really just some terrible kitch, but on the other side it is also made in quite a charming way, so why not ?

Dress Code: Nobody cares here for a dresscode, bring enough money, that is more important !

I have to say that as beeing Lisboa's smaller brother, they also got the Liboa problem with a not that impressive nightlife. And the nightlife that is, you find in the Dochas, outside the city centre. The restaurants closed a little early, and we did not manage to find any bars or pubs to sit down and relax. You have always the casinos, but that is not a thing for everyone.

As i Lisboa, you have to go to the Dochas, just outside of town to find anything. But even there is/was very little happening while we were there. It was all under construction, and the few places that were open, did not have so many customers. Not even on Halloween. Off course, we still got a little drunk, and had some good burgers, but it was not very pulsating. Not even when we walked trugh the city did we see any bars.

Hopefully it was we that did not know where to go.

Guard on duty! A bit of Vegas in Macao From the Dochas. Empty..
