Hotel Lisboa, Macao
This is definitely a must see, because it has been features in novels, films etc. It's just famous. In the reception area there is like a little museum with carved artworks of jade etc. The toilets are also nice to visit.
stanley ho's answer to the las vegas style casino invasion of Macau. he formerly had a gambling monopoly in Macau but the gaming industry was liberalized in the early 2000 ad to fight the competition from the Las Vegas Gambling Consortiums, he expanded Hotel Lisboa and Built the Grand Lisboa in 2008 and the new Hotel & Casino Complex boasts of a 43-floor, 261-metre-tall building with 430 hotel rooms and suites and various restaurants (15 and counting) and retail stores and the centerpiece here is the large Gaming Area filled with 800 mass gaming tables and 1000 slot machines, craps (which was a las vegas invention), bookies, private gaming rooms.
located just beside the iconic Hotel Lisboa.
the grand dame of macau casinos, the symbol of the old gambling monopoly of Stanley Ho in Macau is the Hotel Lisboa (now Renamed as the Casino Lisboa). It was the center of Gambling in Macau since the 1970's when it was built and is the only gambling structure up to the early 2000 when the Gaming Industry was liberalized. This 12 storey icon is connected to the Grand Lisboa of which this icon has more than 1,000 rooms and suites and the interior of the hotel is filled with a lavish blend of Portuguese and Chinese décor with dazzling chandeliers and glittering mosaics and various private art pieces from the personal collection of Gambling Mogul Stanley Ho. The Gaming area is connected to the Grand Lisboa (they now have the same gaming area). I have old pictures of the iconic hotel too.
