by jil_coleslaw

good food and quite environment actually, i just ordered the cold dish and tiny pizza when i caugh the last order after 2200:1] cold sun-dried tomato in superb olive oil (just US$4-5/HK$30-40)2] pizza with artichoke (around US$10/HK$80) for one person

Metropole: Enjoy your meal!!

by DrPoi

The Metropole restaurant in the Metropole Hotel is just another one, but at the same time, one of the best to take the traditional "Jam Cha" (that's more or less how it sounds in cantonese, and means literally "drink tea"). You'll enjoy all kind of cantonese delicacies as traditional "dim sum" (dumplings), fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, noodles, etc, etc. Give you enough time to appreciate the flavours.Try to enjoy it with tea instead of other drinks. You'll be probably served a delicious and aromatic jasmine tea with you meal. Try to get out a little bit of the typical chinese dishes that you think you know.

Don't miss the fresh seafood!!!

by JoseMonteiro

The restaurant is located in Macau's innerport. There's where fishermen deliver there fish and seafood everyday. This way you can see how fresh the goods are. Don't be impressed with the insects and other fauna, they're part of the scenery. So hard to choose! From fried shrimps, crab curry, a delicious fish to sweet and sour pork, the problem is the choice. And do drink Tsingtao beer.

O Porto Interior: You have to try the Portuguese cuisine!

by bellatrix

This place was highly rated in my guidebook and was right along the waterfront. Good service and great food! One friend had seafood bread stew and another friend had octopus and rice. I was less adventurous and had a fish filet with tomato rice. Very tasty! My first Portuguese eating experience, and in China no less! It was delicious even if it might not have been authentic!

Dumbo: Dumbo

by vividvivian

before you enter this restaurant, you will see a dumbo cartoon on the wall, once you open the door you will see a nice and clean open space, a staircase on your left hand side.when you are up there, it's really a nice place, with the curtain half lowered... it's a comfortable place!! fried rice with salted fish (i did not know there is potatoes with it, and it taste not bad at all :P)

Bolo de Arroz: Bolo de Arroz

by leffe3

Delightful little cafe in the centre of Macau. The pasteis da Notos were as good as any I had eaten in Lisbon (and believe me, I have eaten a lot of them). Also had the best coffee here during the time in HK and Macau. Pasteis da Notos (custard cakes) and coffee.

A Lorcha Restaurant: A Lorcha Restaurant

by leffe3

Lovely Portuguese style restaurant - clean, simple, rows of tables all with green-check table cloths, a bar at one end stocked with Portuguese wines and beers: friendly, welcoming, very quick service, nice food.

There are many famous...

by davinachu

There are many famous restaurants in Macau. Portuguese cuisine: Litoral Restaurant, near the A-Ma Temple; Fernando's Restaurant, on the Hac-Sa Beach.Chinese dim-sum restaurant: New World Emperor Hotel, the food is good and not expensive. Portuguese food: Bacalhau(cod-fish) balls, curry crab, caldo verde (Portuguese vegetable soup), feijoada (red beans), ox-tail and don't forget the Portuguese egg tarts. They are very famous. Taste the Portuguese wines. Chinese food : dim-sum (a typical Chinese pastry), steam milk, noodles...Seafood is very good. If you like Chinese food, you may find the cheap and good Chinese food here in restaurants.

Macao was a Portugese...

by dr_in_asia

Macao was a Portugese settlement at one time, so there are lots latin-based influences around, including the food. The absolutely best restaurant in Macau is Fernando's. Its a taxi ride away from the main island...but absolutely worth it. The best meals I have had there is just going in and telling the waiter, to just bring enough food for however many you have and what kind of meat/fish...then leave it to them...basically everything is great.

Don't waste your money eating...

by Krystynn

Don't waste your money eating at these posh hotels. The 'tai pai tong' (roadside food vendors) sell equally delicious food at dirtcheap prices. You can check out their foodcourts too. For some great tasting Macanese food, nothing beats the Fernando's Restaurant at 9 Praia Hac Sa, Coloane Island. Why don't you try all these strange foods....like cow's stomach, pig's ears, seashorse herbal soup, snake's blood...etc. Who knows? You may just end up liking it. Just think of them as meat and you will do fine. For info, I've tried seahorse herbal soup and it's DELICIOUS! It's supposed to make your skin - smooth and radiant (or something like that). Note: Macanese food is actually a mixture of some of the best world cuisines i.e. Portuguese, Chinese, African, Indian etc
