MFM - Macao International Airport (via Taipei, Taiwan, or other Asian Cities). http://www.macau-airport.gov.mo/Also, fly into HKG- Hong Kong International, take a bus/train from the airport to the Macao Ferry Terminal via Turbo Jet (hydrofoil) or even helicoptor from Hong Kong. http://www.turbojet.com.hk/index.htmhttp://www.cityguide.gov.mo/transport/transport_e.aspUse taxis, buses or walk around. Rent a bike or moke (rental car). Its a small place!

You may arrive Macau by air, sea and land. By air- from the airport, helicopter.By sea - the jetfoil from Hong Kong.By land - from the Mainland of China. Getting around is very easy. Go by bus or on foot. You may discover the multi faces of Macau on foot. Most of the tourist spots are accessible by bus.You may also rent a bycicle, a motorbike or a moke to discover Macau.

Several day and night fleets of high-speed vessels serve between Hong Kong and Macau: jetfoils, jetcat and hydrofoil. The route require only one hour ferry ride. Departure wharf on Kowloon side is located in Tsimshatsui of 'China Ferry Terminal'. There is another departure wharf in Hong Kong is located at Connaught Road, Central, (Macao Terminal in the Shun Tak centre). Take the MTR (Sheung Wan Line) and get off at Sheung Wan Station, follow sign to the terminal.

Several day and night fleets of high-speed vessels serve the 40-mile route between Hong Kong and Macau: jetfoils, foilcats, tricats and flyingcats, with all-night service by jetfoils. The forty-mile route require only one hour ferry ride.

Have the cab take you to Monte Fort on the hill overlooking St. Paul's. If he drops you off next to St. Paul's and points you up the hill, you will walk through a park. Make sure you follow the signs to the Museum, not the fort. There is an escalator that way to the top of the fort and the museum.

Leave early for Macau. There is a lot to see. It takes about 1 hour each way. DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT!!!After you clear customs, there are cash machines right in the Terminal. Go out the front door and take a right to get to a metered cab. Ignore all the cabbies by the door trying to hustle you.

The cost of the ferry going over to Macao was HK$75 but on the way back from Macao it was HK$113. Needless to say there are different companies with different boats that go different speeds. They are a lot like airplane seats.

From the Kowloon side, go to the China terminal. It's about three blocks away from the Peninsula Hotel. Make sure to check the departure times with your hotel -- the boats don't leave as often as they do from the Hong Kong side (Macao Terminal in the Shun Tak Centre).

By boat from Hong Kong- there is a turbo jet that leaves about every hour or two from Kowloon. I recently paid $226HK (around $30US) for round trip. You can get your return ticket when you purchase your ticket over but you must specify the time you are returning and if you miss the boat your ticket is for you may have to buy a new ticket to get back at a later time. Boat transport is also available from Hong Kong Island as well.
