Have a game or two if you're in Ampang. It's one the few places that you can bowl in this area. There aren't many. If I'm not mistaken, there are only two places here. This one is a pretty decent place so it should be nice.
It's located in a small shopping mall known as 'Ampang Point.' The bowling alley is known as Ampang Superbowl.
Ampang is a township located at East of KL. Many restaurants in Kampung Baru Ampang is famous of the Yong Tau Foo, a dimsum dish that has fish or meat paste filling in vegetable, either Chili, brinjal, bean curd or lady finger. There are served either deep fried or cooked with soup. There are other types of dishes shown on the menu card that you...more
Generally in Asia, seafood is best to be consumed in an air open concept and Nong & Jimmy is one that abides by this concept. The surroundings and ambience feels just like another Chinese seafood place but the cooking is different as it strongly has that Thai flavour. You can be rest assured that anything you order will not turn out to be a...more
Loads of people I know says that they like the naan bread and the tandoori chicken here, which has made me curious and I decided to try it one day and was totally unsatisfied. The service is really bad because they're very rude. The place is really dodgy but I won't complain too much on that because it's a street hawker stall and I've already...more
They have such fresh made bakery here. The place is always packed with local residents around the area everytime the freshly baked comes out of the oven. It's also a nice cafe where you can linger and sit outside while having a light tea time with their pastry and even a complete meal.more
It's a row of shophouses as well as food outlets. There are stalls along this area and all of them serves big glasses of fruit juices and they are very tasty too, unlike most places where they add more water than the fruit itself. You may also fin Malaysian food here as well ranging from sate, rice with loads of dishes, anything fried, local...more
Yong Tau Foo is famous in Malaysia. It's like Dim sum or maybe it is Dim Sum but it's in a soup. They also have the fried ones. Nothing much to say about this except that it's yummy. The layout of the restaurant is simple. Booths attached to the walls with chopsticks and small plates ready on the table and round tables in the middle with some...more
The place is located at Jalan Ampang, next to an office building called PERKESO. You'll find a wooden cowboy two storey bungalow. Inside, you'll find yourself in a western cowboy 'saloon'. At your table, there is a bucket of nuts - I can't seem to remember what the name is. Anyway, drinks come in a big mug, which is cool. They have the best ribs...more
It serves local and western food cooked the Nyonya style. It's typically authentic. The restaurant name has been established in KL for as long as I can remember and the taste and quality of the food stays the same. Their first outlet is at Ampang Park Shopping Center and this is another branch of theirs with a slighty different name, which they...more
It's a hawker stall and it may seem rather dodgy for some but I don't mind about the place and surroundings as long as the food is good. I've only discovered this place recently and I love anything that they fry. The prices are very cheap. I couldn't believe it for something in KL. My 2 favourites are 'Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin' and Nasi Goreng...more
Well, it's almost like a food court. You have everything local here. It's a hawker center placed under one roof and managed by the 'Boss' named Suzi. It's a really famous place among the locals. Everybody knows Suzi's Corner and everybody comes here. The prices are cheap and it's easier to meet here as they serve a variety of food. Even the western...more
There's absolutely nothing special about Ampang Point but yet, loads and loads of local Ampang residence occupy the place 24/7. The place is packed everyday, from morning till night. Maybe because it is centrally located along Jalan Ampang. It is surrounded by all banks, shops, offices, utility companies. Basically, all the necessity are there to...more
If you're from Britain or have been there or lives / lived there, then you would know Tesco. Malaysians are in love with anything that's British. Sadly though, their attitudes are nothing like them, especially their style of driving. Haha...For those who don't know Tesco, then this is a supermarket to shop for your provisions. It's one of the...more

Right in the middle of the Ampang old town, there's an old Malaysian-Chinese temple. They 'decorated' their temple by using these spiralistic hanging joss-sticks. Not really a decoration but more to religious believe. But as a tourist, it is a visual entertainment anyway. Good for photography for sure. So why not snap some for uploading.more

In Ampang and loads of other places in the country, there seems to be a scam of exploiting young children as well as the blind to beg for money at eateries. You may think that I'm mean and inhuman by feeling disgusted with what they're doing but I don't think it's fair for any normal citizens to give in to these type of people who are plain lazy to...more
