This wooden structure is built by the local fishermen to catch small prawns known as "bubuk" as well as fish. Fishing nets are put underneath the structure to trap them and in the early morning or late in the afternoon, the fisherman will collect their catch for the day.

A: Hi! Hiking boots/runner shoes would be fine for the Bako & long house trip. Beach sandal should come in handy for the boat ride to Bako NP and along the river (if any)...
