the first world cafe is the largest buffett cum restaurant in the Genting Highlands complex simply because it serves the fourth largest hotel in the world hence the very wide area. Since we are checked in at the First World Plaza then our breakfast buffett is free however look down this tip for the buffett prices if you are not staying at the hotel and want to eat here. Well what can I say about this huge dining area but you will never be short of dining selections at this hugely spacious buffet eatery that sits about 2,400 person. The unique selling point of this café is its monthly themed buffet such as Thai, Indonesian, Indian, Middle Eastern and Hong Kong Food Promotion during lunch and dinner buffett and when we were here, ot was the Thai Promotion.
Favorite Dish: the attire here is casual and the food is an ecletic mix of local and international flavors like assorted breads, congees, assorted noodles and my favorite Beef Bacon! plus a selection of fresh fruits and local desserts like gula melaka.

there are many snack stands in the genting highlands area especially in the vicinity of the Outdoor Theme Park and these Snack Stands sell an assortment of what else but quick and filling local and international snacks plus a lot of Junk Foods and various Drinks like fruit Juices or Carbonated Drinks. Off course the prices of the average snacks and drinks here will be more expensive than in kuala lumpur since the wole of genting is like an integrated them park. A Nice way to eat when you are on the go especially while walking at the outdoor theme park.
Favorite Dish: depends on what food you buy like squid balls will be RM 3 an order, Malaysian Prawn Crackers will be RM 5 per order, Hotdog with waffles will be RM 8 per order and drinks like kiwi juice or Iced tea in a small plastic cup will cost you RM 5 per order, really expensive than in the kuala lumpur area.

there are literally lots of food choices at the first world plaza with assorted local eateries and international chains having branches there like starbucks, kentucky fried chicken, Burger King and local Chains like Marybrown (I havent tasted the chicken there too bad). There are also local restaurants and mini food courts serving local specialties and delicacies like Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, Bee Hon Goreng, Rojak and a lot more. Although the prices here will be much higher than in Kuala Lumpur since this is a Gambling town.
A caveat: most people here don't understand or comphrehend english so you must be patient with pointing what you want.
Favorite Dish: the claypot rice that consists of assorted veggies and seafood that costs RM 15, the Bee Hon Noodles that costs RM 10, the Roasted Chicken with rice meal that costs RM 12. The assorted desserts like the ais kacang and the gula melaka that costs RM 8 per order.

This small eatery is pretty congested when comes to space and what's more, the eatery has a funny system where food and drinks are sold separately. Don't that remind you of Mattel toys? "Batteries are sold separately". This is a eatery for crying out loud.
Never, ever step into this place. EVER! Travesty!
Favorite Dish: I was buoyed by the fact that they old one of my favourite dish - Mee Rebus. But since it was a "fresh noodle" eatery, the noodle that they used were the same noodle that they used for speghetti, wanton noodle, and even, mee siam! The mee rebus really tasted like...better hold my words before I start spilling out vulgarities such as ***! Oops!
How do they survive as a shop???

I'd once quipped, while travelling in the remote areas of Australia, that you will know that there's a town with a substantial population whenever you see a McDonalds. It's so true in Genting as well.
There are two outlets located at the basement of the First World Theme Park, and at the indoor theme park at Genting Hotel, they represent one of few outlets that stay open 24 hours a day.
Favorite Dish: Guess you can order your usual fare of big macs and cheese burgers. For me? I just needed their golden crispy fries! Yum yum.

The translation of this cantonese word "Hou Mei" means good taste, and that was what we received from the food we'd ordered. This nicely-renovated restaurant provides the customers with meals without great pomp. The customer service was pretty good, as the waitress were pretty diligent in showing you to your table and also, were on hand to take your orders rather quickly.
Favorite Dish: We ordered ala carte. When in a local restaurant, please do try their local fare rather than western food, which were also on their menu.
Their signature dish is Chicken Hor Fun (flat noodles) with soup. But I was not into soup that day and thus, ordered a bowl of shredded chicken noodle. My wife tried their curry noodle, while my little girl and my helper had steamed chicken rice and roasted chicken rice respectively. totally affordable (If you're comparing prices within Genting) at about RM12 per ala carte ordered.
