The Restoran Hainan Kitchen serves Chinese food, mainly of the origin from Hainan Island in China. Famous dishes include the chicken rice. The various hotels in Genting Highlands offer a variety of buffets depending on the period. When I was there in August 2005, the Resort Hotel offered Middle East buffet lunch which is quite nice. So do check out the buffet selections when you are in Genting Highlands.
The Teochew porridge buffet at Coffee Terrace Restaurant (Genting Hotel) is not really authentic as it is missing quite a few popular dishes which contain pork (in order to make it halal). It is more worthwhile to taste the other cuisines. The dim sum over at Good Friends Restaurant (Highlands Hotel) is quite good though.
Not really a restaurant tip, but more like a Unique Food tip.
