    VIP coach

Easiest way is buying a package tour from a Travel Agent in Singapore. You can find them everywhere at tourist places. I bought a 2D1N package tour of Gunung Raya Travel Pte Ltd in Beach Road, it costs only 79 S$ per person wiz VIP coach & good hotel. It takes abt 5 hours & you can have a big nap on ze way :)

    Road

The roads to Genting are properly marked. So,driving up Genting Highlands is quite easy. The winding road up Genting can be accessed from Karak Highway. From there,it is slightly less than 20km.On the way up,you will pass Gohtong Jaya and Awana. When driving up,please engage lowest gear.Check the condition of your car before making the attempt to drive up as I had seen many cars break down on their way up.Do not have to worry about the petrol as there is a petrol station near the peak.I would advise anyone against driving up Genting or down at night. The roads are dark and the mist will make it hard for you to see what's infront. If really in a hurry, take a taxi because the are very experienced.

You can catch a taxi from the Puduraya bus terminal in the Kuala Lumpur city centre to Genting Highlands.

It may cost you a bomb if you do not bargain. We were quoted RM80. So we decided to wait for the bus to operate instead.

    Genting Skyway

Scale greater heights when you ride on the Genting Skyway! Linking from its Main Station at Gohtong Jaya to Highlands Hotel, the Genting Skyway offers a very convenient, high tech super smooth and safe ride up to the resort city.

Officially opened by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Feb 21, 1997, the Genting Skyway can carry more than 2,000 people per hour each way with 8 passengers per gondola. At the maximum speed of 6 metres per second, the 3.38 kilometres journey up the mountain peak takes only 11 minutes.

Passengers will disembark at the smart and impressive Genting Skyway Station at Gohtong Jaya. Bus and car parking facilities are readily available. The ultra-efficient station will allow hotel and luggage check-in procedures to be completed at the station itself. Visitors need only sit back and enjoy a leisurely ride up to the holiday resort without having to go through further hassles of checking-in formalities while at hotels.
