Not much needed to climb this hill, visitors only need to bring a small backpack for things like camera, water, telescope, biscuits, etc. Best to wear simple, normal sports shoes will do but make sure not those slippery type. Wear long sleeves if you hate sunlight.

If you are first time visitor to Bukit Tabur, please go there on Sunday morning to meet other hill climbers. Quite many peoples there on Sunday, they are ususally students, you can follow them, not so possible to try your own, the trail is quite complicated.

Viewing the entire KL from the Melawati Hills, isn't this what you you want? Just spend a day, best on Sunday morning from 6am to10am, you can meet many hill climbers especially Sunday, they are your tou guides, just follow them. If you go on week days, you have to find your own way up down.

Just click the map to enlarge. Bus #191 can send you directly to the H section of Taman Melawati, or you can take taxi from city centre, approximately 30 minutes, cost RM15-20.

On the hill, I met two tourists came with telescopes, they told me they are watching birds, not about hill climbing.
