We got a taxi to take us out to the Taman Pertanian Malaysia ( agroforestry theme park). It was around 4km from the hotel.
The park is a blend of landscaped gardens and forest areas, designed to emphasise ecological values.
The park has attractive lakes, gardens, arboretums, animals, birds in an aviary, and places for forest walks as well as a canopy walkway.
It was a very interesting park and we stayed most of the day. Leave a Comment

Taman Alam Kuala Selangor is a 290 hectare nature park. It comprises a variety of habitats, the secondary forest, mangrove foreat, and the brackish water lake, form the major eco- system.
This complex eco-system supports many animals and birds. They have recorded 156 species of birds here, of which 57 are migratory.
To aid in birdwatching, two watchtowers and hides have been constructed, There is also a boardwalk through the mangroves. It really doesn't go all the way through, when you reach the end you turn around and walk back to where you started.
We spent several hours sitting on the lake watching the birds and the monkeys playing behind us. On the trails we saw Monitor Lizards, other kinds of monkeys, and Brawney Kites soaring overhead.
We took a wrong turn on one trail and walked for ever trying to get back to the park headquarters. Was I ever glad to see that when we finally found it. Leave a Comment

I donno whether you could see the picture shown. I've shoot those during we've boating to look for a fire flies. It was really beautiful. They are blinking like light on the christmas tree. You can only see those during night time and even gorgeous when it after rain.
You need to get share taxi to Kampung Kuantan to watch those fire flies. It will cost about RM30 round trip.
