The restaurant's foods are nice.. moreover, the foods are healthy. they do not put ajinamoto in their foods. The environment in the restaurant is quite nice. It's is air conditioner restaurant. Futhermore, the price for the foods are reasonable.
Porridge.. snow ice.. the ice for the snow ice is unique. they do not use normal ice but they are using the ice that has flavour on it. worth to try. fried siew pak choy.. coffee.. the coffee is really nice.. they use senggarang coffee where the senggarang coffee is the most popular coffee. by fraulein2008 I think no one that were born and grew up in Batu Pahat will not know about Ah See wanton mee. It is one of the oldest brand of wanton noodles in this town.
The specialty will be of course its own homemade noodles made into the wanton mee. Instead of using dark soy sauce, the main ingredients for this wanton mee is sesame oil. by fraulein2008 If you're a pork lover, don't miss this shop selling mixed pork soup (or fish) served with plain rice or yam rice. Even when went there at 11 morning, people were already packing the place waiting for their lunch. Can't imagine how crowded it will be at exact lunch hour!
Mixed pork soup with plain rice, of course. The soup taste really great and the porks and innards taste fresh. If you don't like pork or innards, you can opt for fish soup. You can refer to my blog www.tamciakpo.blogspot.com for more pictures. Leave a Comment

by fraulein2008 Since it's one of the oldest hawker center in Batu Pahat, don't expect too much on the hygiene and cleanliness at there. I have always enjoy the food here since I was a kid. There's lots of variety for you to choose from like fish ball noodles, braised duck, duck noodles, wu xian (deep fried fishballs, fishpaste and prawn crackers), roast chicken wings and many more. More descriptions and pictures can be found at www.tamciakpo.blogspot.com
Basically all the food are great since most of the stalls have been here for years and still doing good. My favourites are definitely the chicken wings, wu xiang and otak-otak! by l_joo Half boiled eggs was my breakfast at a local Batu Pahatians' restaurant, this is a very common breakfast in this country, in BP as well. Tourists only need to sit down and yell "two half boiled eggs please !" and best to eat with kopi (local coffee). Leave a Comment

the facade... by chiabh The kopitiam has many stalls selling all kinds of hawker fares... One particular stall that caught my eye is that selling porridge...
The stall sells porridge which is good to the taste... The plain porridge is cooked till very soft and smooth, eating it with the soya sauce is most satisfying... You can order side dishes to go with the porridge... There is the mixed platter with the layered pork, braised egg and braised tofu... And there is my all-time favourite of braised pork trotter... by l_joo Batu Pahat has so many Malay roadside restaurants, these restaurants are very basic, they are not in a big modern shopping mall, they don't have air-conditioning system, they are very local, and this is a menu of the restaurant, a tip for you, just take a look. Leave a Comment
