Once in Johor or Johor Bahru, it is possible to catch a taxi to the Gunung Belumut Recreational Park, near Kluang. The journey will last less than 2 hours and cost up to RM150. Payment is by cash only.
To leave the park and return to Johor Bahru, speak to the guard at the entrance of the park and he will order a cab for you. However, expect to wait up to 2.5 hours for the vehicle to arrive. A "tip" for the guard (aprroximately RM10) will be included in the taxi fare.
Part of the journey takes you through a small town in Kluang and, as you near the park, an oil palm plantation. This could be the only way to get to Gunung Belumut if you do not have your own transport or are unable to hire a private vehicle.

Those who start out from the western part of Singapore may want to hop onto the Yellow Causeway Link bus that will take you from the Jurong East Bus Terminal to Johor via the Second Link. However, it does not terminate at the usual Larkin Bus Terminal or near the city area - you will have to get onto another bus heading to the location of your choice at a small bus terminal.
The bus ride costs $3.50 per passenger. Payment is by cash only. Passengers should be prepared for a long wait at the Second Link immigration on weekends and public holidays.
