This is the picture of Kotaraya Bus/Taxi Terminal in J.B. Daily buses from S’pore like 170, 160, Causeway Link etc. will stop here before proceed to Larkin Bus Terminal. Taxis to S’pore are also available here. You can go for sightseeing or shopping at the nearby location from here and if you are hungry there are also small 'Warung' nearby. Senai Airport City lounge is also located at this place...Just around the corner! It is much cheaper and faster to go to J.B by bus…Some people just walk across the causeway to J.B especially when there are heavy traffic jam. Theme: Bus

Larkin Bus Terminal is well known as the jumping off point to most part of Malaysia. There are restaurants, shops, money changers and farmacy here for your last minute shopping before you shoot off to your destination. Taxis also available here to take you around J.B. If you want to hire a cab driver that used the 'Meter' you can contact Noli H.P: 0197440009 Here we furnish you with some photos for your info as a compliment to the other info that other VTers have sent. Commuting between JB and Singapore daily is common. I do that when I am back home :-). Sometimes I feel like staying in the comfort with my parents, so I will take the bus to go home and commute to work in Singapore in the morning. To get from JB to Singapore by road, you can either go via the causeway or the second link. Commuting via the causeway by public transport is more convenient and faster. There are a number of bus services to choose from - 160, 170, 950, CW1. Another mode is the train which will stop at Tanjong Pagar train station via the causeway. How to get to Singapore from JB depends on which area are you staying in JB. Whether it is near the checkpoint or near Larkin? If you are staying near the checkpoint, go to the checkpoint to get the bus as it is faster. Pay in Ringgit at JB checkpoint. If you are staying near or beyond Larkin, go to Larkin to get your tickets as you pay in Ringgit (cheaper). The public buses to Singapore start running at 5.30am and end at midnight. If you stay near Larkin, I would suggest you to go to Larkin, get a ticket and go on the Singapore-JB express coach. The coach go to Bugis on the Expressway with stops only at the checkpoints. When you arrive at the immigration, do remember to hurry through, cos if you miss the coach, you will have to wait quite long for it. The frequency is low at the very early hours of the morning or off-peak, perhaps half an hour one bus. During the peak hours, about 10 minutes for one bus, depending on the traffic condition too. When you reach Queen Street (the final destination in Singapore). Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

One of the best way to get to Johor Bahru, whether from Penang, Ipoh, KL or Melaka, is to take the express bus. There are different grades of buses with varying prices. You can different leg room and even your own personal video movie console. So check to have a look at the photo of the bus type, the number of seater, whether individual movie console and also where the bus will stop at. Some smaller companies will stop at different towns to drop off passengers or even wait to pick up passengers. So go for direct buses from larger bus companies. Note that there are two major bus stations. Larkin is for long distance destinations. Kotaraya is for local destinations. There is bus stop to get to Larkin in front of the Indian Temple side at Jalan Wong Ah Fook, opposite City Square. Theme: Bus

There are taxis/cabs everywhere in Johor Bahru. However, beware that before the taxi driver drives off to your destination, make sure the meter is being used. There are case when meter is not used and passengers pay a higher price for the ride. It is cheap and convenient and it is useful to take a taxi to a hrad-to-reach place. Have flown several times in JB using the Senai International airport. Airport code: JHB There are two airlines, MAS (Malaysian Airlines) and budget airlines Air Asia. The distance of the airport to downtown JB is about 30km. There is a regular bus shuttle from downtown JB to the airport. If flying on MAS, you can buy another prepaid coach ticket at booking that will take from Senai to downtown Singapore without having to go to JB downtown.

If you are going to take the flight to other parts of Malaysia from JB on Malaysian Airlines, there's a coach provided by MAS that will bring you straight to Senai airport from Singapore via the second link. It is more pleasant to use the second link as it is less crowded. The coach will depart from Copthorne Orchid Singapore hotel, and you will need a valid onward flight ticket to be able to use this service. It cost SGD12 per journey per adult. Conditions for using Coach service - Coach is used in conjunction with MAS Designated flight out of Senai, or into Senai - Passenger must have a confirmed ticket on the designated flight departing from Senai Airport (Johore), or arriving into Senai Airport (Johore) - Passenger requiring special handling or medical case or unaccompanied minors cannot be accepted due no special facilities available on coach Leave a Comment Theme: AirplanePhone: +65 - 6336 6777Other Contact: Malaysia Airlines.

You can a train from Singapore into JB and northwards to Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth (Penang) and take another connecting train to Bangkok (Thailand). Unfortunately, many sections of the railways are still single track and so train travel can be very slow - doubling the time taken by buses. Also due to reduced popularity, the train schedule is few and far apart. But if you are a train enthusiast, why not.

You can board a bus from Singapore (the bus terminal is near Bugis MRT) to Johor Bahru. It costs only SGD2++. If you do not want to join the crowds, you can board the taxi from the terminal to Johor Bahru too... If I can still remember, it costs ard SGD10 per person for the taxi? You can purchase the bus ticket back to Singapore from Johor Bahru. From there, you only pay RM2++ which is almost half the price of what you paid to get to Johor Bahru! :) Leave a Comment Theme: Bus
