Other than dinner (Usually BBQ) and popping your own firecrackers (If you brought any), after dinner plans would mean staying in and having a karaoke session (Have to bring your own collection though! Our resort had their own, but it was kinda limited), or a game of mahjong / carrom.
The younger ones had more fun than us. They took their torch lights and had a stroll to the end of the jetty. Quite a romantic moment for some of the lovebirds i heard...:P I'm not sure if you can see the sun set coz they were too late to see it :)
Oh, there's a newly opened buddhist temple at kukup village, it's supposingly very "liang", your wishes get heard or something like that...worth a stroll i think...
Dress Code: Casual :)

Well, don't expect much night life in Kukup. For best night life, probably go to Pontian Town - 20 mins driving, enjoy the foods and drinks next to the sea.
There are 2 places you can dine by the sea- Tambak and Pontian Seaside.
Tambak is a new commercial area, everything is new within. On the other hand, Pontian seaside already exist for decades, if you really wanna enjoy the true Pontianese life, go to Pontian Seaside. You might get lucky someone performe live music.
Dress Code: Casual, but not too casual, since Pontian people still a bit conservative minded.
