Favorite thing: Most of the states in Malaysia have 'Pasar Tani'. This is a place where farmers will bring and sell their own stuff's directly from their farm. Here you will find all sort of vegetables that is called 'Sayur Kampong' which mean some of the vegetables found here are not sold in the market, even if you can find some of the stuff at the market it won't be as fresh as at Pasar Tani. The 'Pasar Tani' is held on sunday near the 'Galleri Kerpok'.

Favorite thing: If you want to visit one of the island and are not too sure about the tide, it is better for you to call the ferry or the boat services to confirm the time

Favorite thing: Take a leisurely walk across the bridge (just after the round about) and visit the Kropok Factory (Fish Crackers). If your time is right, you will be able to see how the Kropok were made. You will also be able to buy some Kropok if you like.

Favorite thing: Don't forget to try The Cendol, its something you simply have to try when you are in Mersing. Cendol (green coloured pea flour) is often served with red beans in rich coconut milk sweetened with palm sugar in a small bowl full of shaved ice.
Previously the Cendol stall is located at Parkson's pathway but now it has shifted to Jalan Dato Mohd. Ali opposite Mersing Hotel.
Fondest memory: The taste of the sweet cendol especially during hot days!!!

Favorite thing: Mersing is a port town with ferry send visitors to beautiful islands of Tioman, Pemanggil, Babi Beasr, Sibu, Aur, Rawa and many more. I don't recommend visit on holidays only if you want to enjoy traffic jams. The town is quite interesting and very easy to walk, not that big anyway.

Favorite thing: i really appreciated when i got to mersing and was 3 hour earlier for my night bus, and there a internet cafe popped up in this hot, kind of weird place.
Fondest memory: Inside the plaza and right next to the Transnational bus ticket office will probably be your fondest memory of Mersing.
