How to Make your own Leech Socks
by bpacker
Now, if you're wondering why I'm asking you to wear Christmas stockings in Endau Rompin, wonder no more. These socks are actually leech socks and they'll prevent you from getting bloody leech bites in the wild. You can buy them at $6 a pair from the Singapore Botanical Gardens shop ( See Website ) or make your own. Muddybok taught me how to make these after he read my leechy bite stories in Endau Rompin . The instructions are fairly simple:- Get a pair of old canvas pants and trim them at the knee level where the pants bend. Sew across. At the part where the the pants fold, stitch the folds and thread a string through them. The string will fasten your sock at the knee level. See the picture for Bok's sock. It comes complete with elephant crap! He has a tip on how to make leech socks too. Click here to take a look at it.

Well, they don't call a RAINforest a Rainforest for nothing right? On top of that protect your clothing packed inside in a garbage bag. You wouldn't want to sleep wet clothes, would you?
