 | Pulau Dayang Things To Do | Tips 1 - 10 of 13 | | Popular Things To Do | Other Things To Do Tips | All Tips (13) Honestly, the main draw over here is the diving. Most of us Singaporeans get our open water dives certified over here ( Those who are suicidal do it in the murky waters of Singapore ) . The shallower reef areas make an excellent spot for checking out and the deeper waters have all sorts of marine life. However, do note that the waters in the deeper parts have turbulent currents . Viz can drop too, particularly around areas like the Pinnacle and Rayner's Rock. So, if you're not ready to drift all the way to Vietnam, pack a good pair of fins. A 3n2d package trip over here will cost around $300 if you're a diver and lots cheaper if you're a non - diver. See the weblink below for more details. Leave a Comment

But staying at Pulau Dayang has its charms, there are beautiful white beaches for lovely walks and plenty of greenery. Now, Pulau Dayang faces Pulau Aur and in between the 2 islands is a narrow 400m channel that make an excellent area for drift diving. Leave a Comment

Honestly, I would have preferred a live-on-board trip but hubby has a tendency to turn green at the mere mention of it , so we have to stay on Dayang island. About several times a day, we'll walk on the rickety jetty to the boat for our dive trips. Leave a Comment

Even if you're a non-diver, you can do snorkeling in the shallower reef areas around dayang and aur. If not, you can fish, rock climb or simply sun-bathe in Dayang. Leave a Comment

If you're keen to see clear and turquoise waters of Dayang, plan your trip around the March - September period. The temperature will hover around 32 degrees and the waters will be tepid making it excellent for a dive. Leave a Comment

As the island isn't very well lit, you'll be able to get a good view of the stars formation at night if the sky is clear from clouds. I couldn't help marvelling at the stars. According to my friend, if you stare at a star long enough, you'll see shooting stars.

For divers, after a day of diving, remember to fill up your dive logs, so that you can look back and reminisce on the good time you had during each of your trip and see how you've progressed in your diving skill over the years. Of cos not forgetting to exchange your dive experience, share the underwater photographs other divers has taken and just relax and enjoy the calmness of the island.

I dunno if I should put this under Things to do or Nightlife, but anyway, yeah if you're here, you simply gotta catch the night's sky. Especially if you came from a big city that can barely see the moon at night. Try to look long enough to catch one or two shooting stars! Leave a Comment
