There are paths leading around the island. From Sea Gypsy you can cut through the jugle to go across the island to a neighboring resort for a drink. Or you can walk down the beach (turn right onto the beach). The sandy beach becomes rocky and you cross a couple of wooden walkways. Eventually you find a path that takes you into the center of the island and toward the village of Kg Duku. It is an interesting, easy walk.

The diving and snorkeling in the clear waters off Pualu Sibu is excellent. On our snorkeling trip we saw some beautiful coral, sting rays, an anomies, clownfish and other colorful tropical fish. Rental equipment is available from the dive shop at Sea Gypsy as are trips to other islands. They also offer certification courses for diving.

There are coconut trees all over the island. You can pick a coconut up of the ground and claim it as your own! Find a good rock to beat it against to break open the outer hull. After a lot of fighting with it you'll get to the nut. Give that a good whack, be careful to save the milk (if you like to drink it) and enjoy the fruits of your labors!

They offer a reasonable price for the massages.
I went for a Full Body Bali Massage by the beach. Cost RM$75 for 60 mins. It was windy and relaxing. Be prepared to come wearing bikini or swimming trunk (for guys) cos it's not enclosed.
The place is in a small hut (without walls) and covered by some pieces of clothes only which people can still see u in there. Again, can't show u how it looks like exactly! Aarrgghh...
However, I feel that the massage is too "soft" so didn't really enjoy it... Not the hard and nice kind that you'll get in Bangkok... I still love Bangkok massages. Suitable for those who likes soft massages only.
But it feels nice to be lying there and the wind is very strong.
Just remember that u'll need to book in advance.

Our snorkelling trip was included in the package...... I was all excited about it....... Then......
All I see was dead corals and tons of sea urchins!!!!!!!
What the $%^$&%#!!!!!
The water is so shallow that after swimming 80m out to the sea the water level is only up to your knees!!!! And it's so difficult to swim away from those sea urchins..... They are basically all over the place... *Damn those sea urchins and they are as big as a soccer ball!*..
One of the guys got trapped around the sea urchins and he just stood there dunno where to go... Luckily, a man came by and guided him out of danger... Can u imagine how stupid is the snorkelling trip? Might as well you call it "trip to the danger zone"..
The place is too dangerous to snorkel....... Another wasted trip!!
The island is beautiful..... It has nicer beach than Sibu Island itself...... clearer water..... It's so shallow that u can just sit and soak in the water....
By the way, the place is very small.... There's not much to explore on the island....

Cost RM$45 person.
Handline and baits are provided. They will bring you in a boat to the sea to fish. Starts at 9.30pm to 12.30pm.
The night that we went the water was very choppy and my bf got sea sick and keep vomitting into the sea!
But there were no fishes at all. The fishes that one of us got is only the size of my palm! Can't even cook to eat! It was a disappointing and a wasted trip! It was quite late and some of us were so sleepy that we decided to sleep in the boat (including me). Some got too giddy cos of the choppy water that they slept the entire trip.
I didn't enjoy this trip at all!

You have to buy the deer food costing RM$5.
Actually, u don't have to buy the food. You can just feed them with anything. They'll eat anything that you gave them. I gave them biscuits and bread. Hehehe...
Did i mentioned that they are not in a cage? Yes, they are all over the resorts. U can spot them beside your resort, by the beach, at the pool, anywhere practically.
They are quite tame. Just hold out your hand and they will come to you cos they though u got some food for them.
This is the only thing that I enjoyed doing!!
There are some chicken & rabbits that you can feed and they roam around too. But they are afraid of people so you may not get to get near them.

Sibu, well rimba resort just offers all that you want but then again absolutely not a thing. the accomodation does have an absolutely wonderful outlook over the ever changing beach front. Just one thing you may want to consider (as like many places) take your own small external music outlet. otherwise all is good.

The Sea Gyspy lies on the eastern shore of Pulau Sibu. The sunrises are worth getting up for! After all you can always go back to bed or have a snooze on the beach! What else do you have to do!?
