For Malaysian who are interested in archeology, before you actually goto Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Candi Borobudur in Yogyakarta, you can visit Lembah Bujang near Sungai Petani. It is only 15 km drive from tol Sungai Petani Utara.
I visited Angkor Wat last year ( 2011 ), so I plan a must do visit to Lembah Bujang Archeology site as it is so near to me. After this, the Candi Borobudur in in my list.
Really, the world, the planet Earth has so many interesting places to travel to.
I feel my motto is so meaningful.

Beside bigger artifacts, they are many small pieces of particles in display inside the Bujang Valley Acheology Museum, they are small beads, small and decorative stones and some damaged pieces which are hard to find its complete set.
Before the involement of local authority in the study in 1970ies, European acheologists had started to do their research earlier could have taken some invalueble artifacts.

Some of the bigger artifacts found during the archeology researh are display outside the museum compound.
They are the stone sugar cane mill, rice mill, and padi mill which told the story that beside Hindu and Buddha influences artifacts, living tools were found too.
They are ancient stone sugar cane mill found at my hometown too, display at the Na Tok Kong Temple but it is not that complete as in BV Museum has.
My house own a old rice stone mill left by my grand parent, I know how it work to process liquid rice to make dumpling.

The museum keep all artifacts found from the archeology research activities. There shown the Hinduism and Buddhism influence to the ancient Malay Kingdom of Kedah in Lembah Bujang.
The museum opened 362 days a year, closed on 1st and 2nd Hari Raya Aidilfitri and 1st day in Hari Raya Haji.

To all Malaysian and travellers who like archeology, you can visit to Archeology Lembah Bujang which disply the candi monument left for us. It is the oldest historical monuments found in Malaysia. There is a museum which keep all the artifacts found during the reserch in the compound.

Lembah Bujang is the oldest archaeological site in Negeri Kedah. This rich historical site covering a vast area of 400sq. km. and its an ancient Hindu Buddhist kingdom that ruled the region during the AD.
There are about 50 (or so) of Hindu and Buddhist temple, candi been excavated at varies site. Many artefacts and relics were found there and many of them you can see them in the Museum (Sorry, I think I have to visit lembah bujang again to take pictures, that time when I went there, I wear shoes with heels, so going up and coming down the hill to see the candi, oh dear, i already got no mood to take pictures, the leg pain, haha.. so wear comfortable shoes if ever you go there).
Those candi and temples are some of remain from the ruins found there and some candi are reconstructed because it was destroyed in 12th century when the 9th ruler of Kedah, the first sultan converted to Islam.. :-(

The exhibits shown the Hinduism influence has already exists since 4th - 5th century in the Bujang Valley ancient Kingdom in Kedah.
