 b_c_k Says:  Long distance buses from anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia do come here, even Singapore. This is the only method, other than self-drive, that comes all the way to Kulim. The bus station also has buses which service the local routes.

 b_c_k Says:  The nearest train station is the Bukit Mertajam Railway Station (half-hour drive). A bigger train station is the Butterworth Railway Station (45-minutes drive). Trains go to/from KL and Singapore and most major towns, even Hadyai in Thailand.

 b_c_k Says:  There are no tourist traps that I know of or heard of. But then I'm never a tourist in my own home-town. The only thing I heard of is the price of the house rentals for out of towners were higher but I'm sure smart out of towners would have made some kind of research before...
