Pulau Beras Basah Things to Do

  • Swim

What else to do on the most prisitne and the most powdery white sands of ther langkawi island group but to swim! the currents here are not as strong as in pantai tengah or pantai cenang in Pulau Langkawi Main Island and there are no riptides here and the water is more clearer than in Langkawi island. you only have about 30 to 40 minutes to swim if...

  • Stroll Around or Hang Around the Beach

since Pulau Beras Basah is a very secluded and private island, you can just stroll around or even lie on the sand and have a tan in the beach (provided that you bought your own beach towel as again there are no beach facilities on the island) or even just sit around one of the few wooden chairs in the island to eat some snacks and drink (not...

like what i've said, there is only one store in the island of Pulau Beras Basah and besides selling assorted bottled water, softdrinks, fruit juices, isotonic drinks and some snacks like potato chips o fish crackers, it also doubles as a water sports activities store of which you can rent kayaks, banana boats, inflatable rafts and parasailing gears (if you have time or if you book a private whole day island hopping tour). off course the prices of the food and drinks and the water activities are a little bit higher than in Langkawi Main Island.

  • Concrete Boat Jetty

there is a small concrete jetty in Pulau Beras Basah where the various big spped boats for the big group tour unload their passengers alternately via the concrete steps (be careful when going to or from the boats as there are no handrails for support, plus the boats are rocking due to the waves) and they just lie there beside the jetty and take...

there are various sizes of speed boats that take you on island hopping tours of some of the islands around langkawi island group and some are small and some are large, having single or twin engines and seats from 6 to 20 people and Pulau Beras Basah is usually the last stop for the island hopping tours and you are given 1 hour to do anything you...

Pulau Beras Basah Favorites

  • Overview

This will be an overview of the Island. first of all, do not expect to have exciting water sports here. Basically there is nothing much you can do on this island, apart from swimming, sunbathing and simply enjoying the wonderful view. This island is also not a well-developed tourism spot with facilities such as beautiful lodges for accommodation as...

  • Bare Amenities

there are no bathrooms or changing areas in Pulau Beras Basah and there are only several wooden picnic sheds facing that beach that gets filled quickly with tourists like us and there is only one store in the island that sells assorted drinks like bottled water and sodas and fruit juices and energy drinks. be sure to come prepared for the island...
