    this will be my shopping tips on cenang mall, I will have a separate things to do for it.

    The Cenang Mall is a Brand New Mall in Pantai Cenang and is the Biggest Mall in Pantai Cenang Area and it was opened just in September 2012 by a local Malaysian Company, PL Soon Huat Realty Sdn Bhd. It is located in the Center of JL Pantai Cenang and the mall is composed of moderate sized two-storey complex which boasts 45 shop lots with an elevator and escalator. Among the biggest tenants here are Starbucks, Old Town Coffee, KFC, Chatime, Maybank, Wakara Japanese Restaurant and assorted stores, Drug Store, Convenience Store and souvenir stalls and export overrun stores selling branded clothes like Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Burberry, etc.

    Opens: 10:00 to 11:00 pm everyday

    there is a nearby taxi stand beside the exit road of the mall

    What to buy: all the souvenir items and export overrun branded items and local crafts and dining and coffee places.

    What to pay: you can haggle at the souvenir shops and local crafts stores here but not at the stores selling export overruns

    Souvenir Stalls at Dataran Lang (Eagle Square): Souvenir Stalls at Dataran Lang (Eagle Square)

    Eagle Square in Kuah Town is another Major Attraction in Pulau Langkawi and it has quite a number of shops and snack stands that line both areas of the roman style half arch that lies at both sides of the main pathway going to the eagle statue and these souvenir shops sell everything from clothes, eyeglasses, post cards, fridge magnets, shot glasses, keychains, other kitschy items and even cold bottled water and other drinks and some local snack foods. a good thing here is haggling is allowed so you better be good at it.

    opens: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm everyday

    What to buy: all the souvenir items and other kitschy items you can think of and also bottled water and other drinks and some local snacks and snack foods.

    What to pay: depends on your haggling skills

    Souvenir & Duty Free Store Langkawi Bird Paradise: Langkawi Bird Paradise and Wildlife Park Store

    Being one of the tourist attractions of Langkawi, the Langkawi Bird Paradise and Wildlife park has it' own souvenir store, actually in 2 areas! at the middle of the park in the huge aviary area (and also has it's own jewelry store) and at the exit of the park. it even has it's own duty free store which sells mostly perfumes, alcoholic products and cigarettes and chocolates and food stuffs and some clothes, bags and kitchen items side by side with the souvenir store at the exit area. you can even find some wild animals in aquariums like snakes and insects at the souvenir store in the aviary area.

    Opening Hours/Daily : 830am - 7.00pm everyday

    What to buy: all the touristy items you can think of like Langkawi Bird Paradise Souvenir Items and general langkawi souvenir items and also many duty free items like perfumes, liqour, cigarettes, clothes, bags and kitchen equipment, to name a few and also some semi precious and precious jewelry items from the jewelry store in the middle of the aviary.

    What to pay: prices are fixed and duty free items are on par with prices at Pantai Cenang Area

    Sky Boutique: Sky Boutique Langkawi Sky Cable Shop

    the Langkawi Sky Cab has it's own souvenir shop that is separate from the souvenir shops of Oriental Village and it has two outlets, the bigger one at the Base Station at the foot of Gunung Macinchang and at the Top Station of which it sells assorted Sky Cab souvenir items and also general langkawi souvenir items. all the kitchy souvenir items like shirts, caps, umbrellas, raincoats, post cards, shot glasses, cooling fans and a lot more.

    opens: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday

    What to buy: again, all the touristy items you can think of and the prices are fixed

    What to pay: fix price but are not expensive

    Kilim Geoforest Park Souvenir Stores: Kilim Geoforest Park Souvenir Stores

    Since the Mangrove tour of the Kilim Geoforest Park is one of the major attractions of Pulau Langkawi, the boat station where all tour groups (big group, small group and private) hop on a speed boat and ride the mangrove tour and the area around it, has many stalls of eateries and souvenir shops which again sells assorted kitschy local touristy items and local crafts and also most of it you will find at souvenir stalls and stores in Pantai Cenang.

    most of the stalls open at 8:00 am to 7:00 pm as most mangrove tours start at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm everyday.

    What to buy: virtually the same souvenir stuffs you can find at Pantai Cenang/Tengah which can be cheaper or higher, depending on your haggling skills

    What to pay: depends on your haggling skills

    Underwater World Souvenir Store: Underwater World Souvenir Store

    Just after the exit area of the last room of Underwater World, you will find their big souvenir store that sells assorted souvenir items related to Underwater world and langkawi like underwater world stuff toys, mascots, key chains, t-shirts, baseball caps, polo shirts, post cards and also some langkawi souvenir stuffs and off course the prices here are higher than the same souvenir langkawi items outside.

    they even sell jewelry items at the souvenir store!

    after the souvenir store, you will exit at the Coco Store Duty Free and EON Duty free stores.

    What to buy: all the touristy souvenir items related to underwater world and some langkawi ones too and even jewelries

    What to pay: prices are fixed!

    Pantai Pasir Hitam Souvenir Stores: Black Sand Beach (Pantai Pasar Hitam) Stores

    one of the major attractions in Langkawi is the Pantai Pasir Hitam (Black Sand Beach) of which the black sands are mixed with regular coral white sands and the black sands are not volcanic in origin and there are legends of a Garuda (a big bird) that kidnap a chinese princes from her roman lover and war ensued and from the remains of the war, the black sand appeared. being a major tourist attraction, this beach has the obligatory souvenir shops and local stalls and even local warungs (eateries) where you can shop for all the kitschy touristy souvenir items and local foodstuff and delicacies. they are located just before the concrete steps going down to the beach.

    again, they have the same souvenir items you can find elsewhere in Langkawi but also more local trinkets and dried foodstuffs and clothes.

    most shops are open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm eveyday

    What to buy: all the souvenir items you can think off plus some local food stuffs and trinkets and batik and sarongs.

    What to pay: depends on your haggling skills

    this will be my shopping tips at Oriental Village, I will have a separate things to do for it.

    Oriental Village is actually more of one big shopping area (or a tourist trap), depending if you are a fond of shopping or a tightwad! The Oriental Village is one big collection of over 50 activity & adventure providers; F&B outlets; souvenir & retail stores; galleries and spas of which the souvenir shops are mostly located on the path going to the Base Camp of the Langkawi Sky Cable (who have it's own souvenir shop, the Sky Boutique). These souvenir shops and stores sell everything that you can find in the souvenir shops in Pantai Cenang area and prices can be a little bit higher (but you can haggle on most items too!) or lower, depending on you haggling skills.

    They also have the obligatory duty free stores here like in kuah town and Pantai Cenang/Tengah Areas (prices on on the higher side than in the other areas I mentioned).

    if you happen to visit the Langkawi Crocodile Farm, which is on the Road to the Langkawi Sky Cable in Pantai Kok (it is included in a whole day langkawi tour), then feel free to shop around the two shops in the 6 hectare Crocodile Farm. The Farm has two souvenir stores, located at the entrance and exit areas and they both sell different itemd, of which the entrance store sells mostly crocodile leather knick knacks like crocodile meat, crocodile eggs, cheap crocodile leather pouches or wallets or phone cases and the typical t-shirts, shot glasses, post cards, etc. the store at the exit is called the Porosus, named after the species of the largerst toothless crocodile in the park and it sells luxury crocodile leather products like hand bags, pouches, travel kits, wallets, tablet covers, phone covers and a lot more.

    opens: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm everyday

    What to buy: all the crocodile leather products you can think off and even crocodile eggs at 3 RM an egg! and the usual souvenir items.

    What to pay: you can haggle here, even at the luxury crocodile products

    Since Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah are ther main Tourist Areas of Langkawi, you can find many souvenir shops and local artisans and boutiques that sells assorted souvenir items like t-shirts, fridge magnets, shot glasses, maps, post cards, paper weights, local crafts, leather goods, pewter, paintings and a lot more here. although the sellers here are not as pesky as in other countries and off course haggling is a must as this is Asia.

    most of the shops here open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday

    What to buy: all the kitchy and touristy souvenir items you can think of and local crafts

    What to pay: depends on your haggling skills

    Langkawi Airport Duty Free Stores: Duty Free Stores at Langkawi International Airport

    if you happen to have a last minute rush to shop even after shopping at the various duty free stores around Pulau Langkawi, Langkawi International Airport has lots of them too, located at the Pre-Departure area before security check in in domestic departure and before immigration in international depaerture (none after that) and also at both the International and Domestic Arrival Area which goes out at the same area. the shops are many and the variety of items a lot, but a word of caution, the duty free shops here are more expensive than buying them at the duty free stores in Kuah Town or in Pantai Cenang/Tengah Areas.

    most duty free stores open at 7:00 am up to 11:00 pm everyday

    What to buy: all the items you can find at duty free stores elsewhere you can find here

    What to pay: higher prices than comparable duty free shops outside the airport

    The Zon Shopping Paradise, Coco Valley: Big Duty Free Stores Beside Underwater World

    At The Underwater World Complex, there are two large Duty Free Stores located side by side, the Zon Shopping Paradise and Coco Valley and if you had a tour of Underwater World, the exit area is along these two stores!

    Both Duty Free Stores are large and has many kinds of duty free items on sale but the Coco Valley has more kinds of chocolates and candies and other sweet confections while Zon Shopping Paradise has more of the dry good merchandise like colognes, bags, sports accesories, kitchen utensils, clothes, etc.

    The Zon opens: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday

    Coco Valley Opens: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm everyday

    What to buy: all the duty free items that you can think of!

    but they don't have my favorite designer bands like Nautica or Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger.

    What to pay: cheaper than buying at langkawi international airpor duty free stores.

    along the main Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah Road, there are several convenience stores that are open, some are open from 7 am to 12 midnight and some are open 24/7 and these convenience stores can be handy if you want to buy necessary stuffs to stack up on your hotel room and fridge to save on expenses like bottled water, assorted softdrinks and fruit juices, local malaysian and international snacks, first aid medicines like band aid or fever tablets, cigarettes, sun block lotion, beers and alcoholic drinks and a lot more.

    definitely way cheaper than buying at the in house stores of the hotels.

    What to buy: all the necessary items that you can find in a convenience store.

    What to pay: way lower than buying at in house stores of hotels

    The original shop located at Temonyong, at the junction right before entering the infamous Cenang Beach where almost all the hotel and shop are located, the main tourist place in Langkawi Geopark.

    What to buy: The website offers you several Gamat /Sea cucumber product from Langkawi Island itself...Known for its healing properties for cuts,insect bite,stomachache etc, Gamat Oil is a must if u visit Langkawi Geopark.

    If u happen miss it during your trip to Langkawi or just wanna try it, just surf the website for further information about Gamat Oil (Gamatlangkawi.com)

    Langkawi Fair Mall: Duty free shopping

    Langkawi is a duty free island so shopping anywhere is realtively cheap.
    Langkawi Fair shopping mall is situated just outside Kuah town and is Langkawi's biggest shopping mall. Here you will find all manner of souvenirs, shoes, clothes, cameras and chocolates.
