I noticed a goat and its young kid chomping at leaves at one of those grassy fields that double up as a pseudo car park. Just as I whipped out my camera, and turned it on (took a while, as I carry a low end digital camera), the goat and its kid started to run off. You can catch a windmill in Asia, where else but in Melaka. Historically rooted to the Dutch, it comes to no surprise to find relics like this. The Dutch first arrived in Malacca in April 1606 with the third fleet of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (Dutch East Indies Company) to visit the archipelago, commanded by Cornelis Matelief de Jonge. In a place like malacca, you'll either love it or hate it. It can get a bit too quiet and boring for some while others merely enjoy the peace, serenity and solitude the place offers. Here's me with Vidya not realising we would be dressing so alike! :)
