The place also deals with antiques as well as being a nice simple pub to chill anytime of the day. Ringo himself plays live music every 1/2 hr alternating with the opposite cafe which plays the other 1/2 hr so that the 2 won't clash.
Ringo is a classic musician who loves the great oldies and he sings well too. Given that he is a 1-man band on his own with his guitar, harmonica and electric synthesizer for light drum beats, I must say his co-ordination is great.
Happy hrs are from 4:30 to 9pm everyday and a beer only costs 6RM during that period of time!!!
Dress Code: Anything goes in here. There is no U-18 for kids and all are welcome here.

A major part of the sidewalk of Jalan Hang Tuah has been refurbished and rename Hang Tuah Mall. It's Melaka answer to Bintang Walk in KL although on a slightly smaller scale.
The place become lively at nite when most of the sidewalks cafe operating till the wee hours in the morning. Even though it is not as crowded as Bintang Walk, just hang out over here and watching people pass by should be interesting.
On special occasions, there will be live band performing here. Hang Tuah Mall was also the venue for the 2002 National X'mas Open House celebration.

This is along the jonj\ker street which in the night becomes a night market. We especially enjoy this becos it is such a leisurely walk. Soemtimes it gets a bit corwded with Singaporean tourist on the weekends but if you are here the week after the peak period such as the week after shcool starts, or week after a public holidays it is less crowded. You get to buy lots of nick nacks, some home made, some you wonder where they dug out from their old store to sell!!! Some homemade cookies etc are seen available. I saw these clogs for sale - only 10 ringgit - and bought them for my nieces - just for fun!!!
Dress Code: casual - even shorts is OK. you can have snacks from the streets.

Beers, wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are matched with a light menu of snacks and finger food in this popular watering hole located on the lobby level of The Equatorial. A live Philippino band belts out top 40s and oldies. Comfortable leather sofa seats, part of the modern set of furnishings and décor, are set out in groups or rows of 4 and 5, and soft warm lightings in the background create an inviting ambience. It is frequented by the city's business set and in-house tourist guests.

Gracing the intersection of the narrow thoroughfares of Jonker Street and Jalan Hang Kasturi, this eye-catching café draws a regular crowd of wandering tourists and the trendy local set. The facade is painted deep green and bright yellow. The feel-good Day-Glo color scheme continues in the interiors over two levels. Rattan chairs, framed photographs and other mementoes impart a tropical and beachy ambiance that makes up a well-packaged dining and drinking experience. The menu lists an eclectic mix of dishes with a Western and contemporary bias. Besides soft drinks, hot and cold beverages, beer (local MYR5.50, imported MYR12) is also available.
