It is quite a cosy boutique cafe with various decors from the olden days. It has a nostalgic feel to it and definitely a good place to relax and have a cup of coffee. The front area of the cafe is more for dining purpose and as you walked inwards towards the courtyard there are a couple of sitting areas scattered around. They offer local coffee from the 13 different states in Malaysia. Other than the 13 types of traditional local coffee, they also offer other types of drinks, snacks and food. We noticed that the staff wasn't too attentive, we had to get their attention for a few times to place our order.
Open on weekdays from 12pm to 11pm; and on Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am to 11pm.
They serve breakfast(6 different sets) only on Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am to 11.30am.

The main purpose of coming to this cafe is to try their signature Calanthe laksa. You can choose noodle, bee hoon or kuey teow for the laksa. The laksa came in a rich, creamy and flavourful soup. It was topped with fried bean curd skin, fish ball, toufu puffs, shreds of cucumber and bean sprouts. The sambal of roasted crispy chillies and dried prawn paste was served on a small dish. The laksa taste great but the only complaint is there are no cockles and is not spicy enough. Personally, I find that this laksa is so much better than the laksa served by Donald and Lily's restaurant. One will not expect to find a good laksa in a coffee shop, it is the last place you will look for it.
Calanthe Laksa: RM7.95
Melaka coffee: RM3.45
Calanthe Dream: RM7.95
It's a humble lodge! good place to have your breakfast/coffee, the price is reasonable and there's free wireless Internet and PC.
very popular among young travelers.
It's located at the famous Jonker street so it'll be hard not to notice it while you are there it looks unique from outside.
The ambiance of the place is fine, there you'll find classical wall pictures and furniture inside the lodge.
I guess that nothing to say about this well known coffee outlet chain in the world. Situated in Mahkota Parade Banda Hilir, it is surely a great place to have coffee and snacks. This outlet even offering a wireless internet access to customers and there are few plug points to ensure your laptop long live and unlimited surfing hours.

FRAPUCINO!!!!
Everytime if I happens to go to Kluang (a district in state of Johor, Malaysia), I will surely will not miss to visit the Kluang railway station. Theres a small setup restaurant here which is very famous for its coffee and toast bread. Its been known as Kopi Kluang Cafe.
Today, this small coffee shop has open many branches and one of it is here in Melaka. Situated inside TESCO Hypermarket, the outlet is very much well in setup compared to its origin in Kluang.
Here in TESCO, Kopi Kluang cafe offers many dishes for customer. Lots of waiter and waiteress hired by the outlet making the quality of the service is top rating.
The setup theme of this restaurant is of course Kluang Railway Station. The owner try to adopt as much as possible the environment of a railway station and its a successful effort even.
If you are happens to be in TESCO Melaka, do not miss this oppurtunity to taste the home grinded coffee specially prepared and originated from Kluang itself.

My favourite dishes :-
1) Coffee
2) Toasted bread
3) Half boiled egg
3) Nasi Lemak
(rice cooks with coconut milk and served with chilli gravy, anchovies, cucumber + fried chicken )
I can't remember what I had for food here if any, but they had some really nice pineapple juice. The view here is nice too, since the café is located on a corner of two streets in the centre of Chinatown.
Having more than 40 outlets throughout Malaysia, this Coffeehouse chain is the top on my list in its category. There are 2 Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf branches in Melaka (Mahkota Parade & Jaya Jusco). The setup of each outlet is simple, creative & inviting. Offering lots of coffee related baverages such as Espresso, Macchiato, Cappuccino, Cafe/Mocha/Vanilla/Caramel Latte, Brewed Coffees etc. Various tea based baverages also being offered, some are Classic Line Tea (Black, Green, Oolong etc.), Gold Line Rare Teas, Tea Latte such as Chai, Double Vanilla Ceylon, English Breakfast, Moroccan Mint etc.
They are also offering choices of world bean coffee and tea leaf. To name some errmm Coffee - Kenya, Brazil Cerrado, Colombia, Papua, Sumatra, Costa Rican, Jamaican Blue Mountain etc. For tea leaf - Estate Darjeeling, Oolong, Ceylon, Genmaicha Green, Moroccan, Earl Grey, the rare Farmosa Oolong & Fragrant Night Jasmine etc.
Beside Tea & Coffee, they do have other baverages. They also selling light dishes such as sandwiches, salads, pasta & breakfast sets.
Wi-Fi environment in the outlet and staff are friendly but in a busy days such as the weekends, they might seriously put the total attention to the preparing & getting order.
Favorite Dish:
My favourite is the Ice Blended, to be specific Black Forest Ice Blended Mocha with Cream. Personally, comparing to Starbucks which is just next door, I prefer the Coffee Beans & Tea Leaf Ice Blended because the taste of coffee is more richer.
