 | Melaka Sports Travel | Tips 1 - 10 of 11 | | Popular Sports Travel | Miscellaneous Sports Travel Tips | All Tips (11) If you are into off road cycling, you might want to consider cycling in Bukit China the next time you're in Melaka. Of course, this is a sport that won't appeal to everyone. While the windy, gravel-strewn and undulating trails are perfect for thrill-seekers, they'll terrify some inexperienced sods who might jolly well crash into a 400-year old grave. Yes, you heard me correctly! Bukit Cina is a cemetery set on top an ancient hill . While some folks might think I'm irreverent or disrespectful for suggesting something like this, let me just say that the bike trail offers a spectacular view of the town and the watery Straits of Melaka. Plus, the trail, overstrewn with trees will give you an all time high if you're a seasoned biker. So if you're super-superstitious, I'd suggest you try another sport.
A well serviced Mountain Bike ( check the bloody brakes! ), helmet ( in case you crash into a grave), gloves, protective eye wear, water bottles or other hydration equipment, mosquito repellent, etc. Leave a Comment Theme: BikingAddress: Bukit Cina, near the town centreDirections: The trail can be assessed from the cement steps starting from the site of the Sam Poh Kong Temple or from near the Puay Hua Primary School 3 along Jalan Puteri Hang Li Po. |

Now, for those of you who know me, I'm into all kinds of sports. Off road biking is no exempt, I've got all kinds of scars to show for it. Though I'm not keen to collect another, I'm putting 2 bike links here to remind myself to do this the next time I'm in Melaka. That'll oughta work off the fats accumulated from the eating binge there. Leave a Comment |

The original course consisted of two nines referred to as Tunku and Ghaffar's Nine. A third nine (Governor's Nine) was added in the mid-nineties. The three nines hug a lake known as the Ayer Keroh Lake which comes into play at quite a few of the holes. Ayer Keroh has its fair share of bunkers and other obstacles at strategic places, but the course is notorious for the jungle that lines both sides of almost every fairway and unmercifully punishes each and every wayward shot. Buggy is on fairway for normal play except when the fairway is very wet after continuous rain... With the very undulating and wide fairway, playing with buggy on track is very demanding on one's physical fitness... In short, you will not enjoy the round of golf if buggy is not on fairway...
