Malacca has its very own "Red Square". At least it is so that most people call the Town Square. This was the center of the colonial town during the Dutch occupation.

The city centre of Malacca does not appear to be in Asia. A wind mill in Malaysia? This is what one can see next to the main traffic circle of the town centre. This lovely square reflects the Dutch influence on Melaka and it is considered the central point of town. You will see Stadhuys, Christ Church as well as the clock tower, the fountain and the small windmill. The square is always crowded with tourists. This is the first place to start your tour in Melaka.
