Wrecking Automobiles Being Shown at a Main Road by Azri_Azmi Melaka do have lots of traffic light. Some comes with displayed timer and some are not. Some do give blinking indicators before turning to yellow then red and some just a normal traffic light from green to yellow to red, no blinking effect. Becareful with this one as you may loose in judging which will blink and which will not. It is not guaranteed that after passing a blinking traffic light, the next traffic light will also blink. Control your speed when approaching traffic light and slow down while driving in town area to avoid accident. Phone: 0126230441

Waitin' for customers in Melaka by bpacker The next time you're in the Dutch square in Melaka, resist the urge to pose with a cranky-looking iguana. Why? Well, if you must know, my local friend told me that several tourists have been bitten by this reptile. And unlike the iguana's tail, your finger doesn't regenerate once it is bitten off... Note:Iguanas don't out of the way to bite humans, but they'll show their sharp incisors when they're threatened or simply tired of being petted the whole day by enthusiatic tourists.. Leave a Comment

Marauding macaques by phil_uk_net The last time I was in Langkawi I ran into problems with marauding macaques and the same thing happened in Melaka. There were a group of them at the zoo, not zoo animals - just delinquents hanging around. They tip out the rubbish bins for food and are very aggressive if you get too close. If they are up a tree and you are below they will attempt to urinate on you. The darn things are a menace. I advocate short, sharp spells in the army or community service for all macaques. They are a menace to society. Leave a Comment

Recent accident I saw near Pedas area inv. a bus by Azri_Azmi, 2 more photos The highway from Seremban to Ayer Keroh Melaka is having a very massive expension upgrading work. The 4 lanes highway (2 lanes fro and 2 lanes to) is being upgraded to 6 lanes. This upgrading work is necessary as the traffic flow at this area usually very heavy especially during weekends and holidays. The danger part is, as the upgrading is taken place kilometre by kilometre in partial upgrading processes, the lane will be reduced to only 1 lane on each side. Bright color cone with reflector is being place along the closed lane this lately causing dangerous situation especially to those vehicle that travel in a very fast speed as the cone sometimes 'moved' to the open lane and causing vehicle to either 'near missed' or occuring accident. Be extra careful if you are travelling using the highway from Seremban to Ayer Keroh vice versa as personnally I myself nearly hit the cone several times as the cone is not at the place its suppose to be and even saw accidents due to this road upgrading. Drive slowly once approaching warning signages and always be cautious of unexpected cones flying in the middle of the road especially at night. I will take out this warning once the highway upgrading project has been completed. Becareful... Phone: 0126230441

Bugger!!! by muddybok Ants are attacking my camera. Since it's nowhere near a Nikon service centre, I have to blow those nasty little buggers from my camera. My advice is keeping your camera with proper storage casing. Airtight container will be most appropriate. Leave a Comment

smile please ! yum yum by sourbugger Local legands abound about the 'Pontianak' - beware ! The 'pontianak' is a sort of local vampire who is always of the female gender. In the old days there were many reports of sightings of the 'pontianak' perching from large trees waiting for her next victim and sometimes you could hear her menacing laughter piercing into the night like a Banshee's wail. When she appears to her victims, she always manifest herself as a beautiful young lady in some sort of need and when her victims guard is down, she would pounce on him and suck his veins dry. There is a popular story among the elders that tells of a man who once managed to capture such a creature. According to the story, when the 'pontianak' approached to seduce him, he tricked her and managed to drive a nail through the back of her head and she remained in her human form as beautiful young lady. He married her, lived happily together and even had a child. One day, after many years, their child noticed what seemed to be a tick on the mother's head. When the child tried to remove the tick, it turned out to be a nail. With the nail removed, the spell was broken and the mother returned to her true form, the 'pontianak' and flew away with the sound of her menacing laughter. It was said that she was still seen from time to time after that waiting to pounce her next victim but all her poor husband and child could do was lament on the lost of their wife and mother. I was going to add a packing tip about crucifixes, garlic and steaks - but that was going a bit far ! Leave a Comment

by keeweechic Malaysia firmly enforces its strict drug laws and their legislation imparts a mandatory death penalty for those convicted of drug trafficking. Any person who is arrested with 15 grams (1/2 ounce) of heroin or 200 grams (seven ounces) of marijuana in their possession are alleged by law to be trafficking in drugs. Leave a Comment

Again, definitely watch where you are stepping. On the sides of the roads are deep sewer/puddles that are at least 1 foot deep. Beware on stepping on one of these and breaking your leg! Leave a Comment
