Kow Po is what make Bentong famous... All ice cream lovers in Kuala Lumpur knows about this famous ice cream outlet... There are visitors to Bentong or who stop over in Bentong because of the Kow Po Ice Cream...
Favorite Dish: The shop sells ice cream (of course), ice kachang (or air batu campur, ABC in short) and cendul... Although noted for its ice cream, the favourite is still ABC as you can observe when patronising the shop... Btw, the ABC comes with a scoop of the ice cream... so you have actually tasted the home-made ice cream when you take ABC... All desserts are priced at RM3...
The nasi lemak stall at the front of the shop is also a favourite amongst ABC patrons... It is rated as very good in terms of pricing and quality...
Kow Po is open daily except Mondays from 10.00am to 7.00pm...

Bentong is also noted for its wan ton mee... One of the best, accordingly to my Bentong friend, is the stall in the Kok Hing coffeeshop... There are also many other stalls selling wan ton mee and I was told that one of the other good stall is in front of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Hall, a stone's throw from the Bentong wet market...
Favorite Dish: Of course, the speciality is wan ton mee... the only stall in this coffeeshop... The mee (egg noodles) comes with barbeque pork (char siew) and you should ask for the "corners"... they are specially delicious... The roast duck here is also a must... and the "sui low" is big and delicous... All in all, it was a good meal at a very reasonable cost...

Kopitiam (coffee shop) at Jalan Chui Yin is my top choice. The restaurant is actually on the walkway of Chinese town hall, very simple and cheap but the coffee served was top class, no wonder so many customers all day. The town isn't that big, you can explore the entire town center in about an hour or less by legs. Eatings are mostly concentrated on Jalan Chui Yin where the Chinese Town Hall located, unless you want to eat KFC.
Famous food in Bentong is Wan-Tan-Mee, a must. Best to stand at Jalan Chui Yin, ask anyone where to eat the best Wan-Tan-Mee in town.

The stall sells desserts including home-made ice cream, ABC and cendol... It is related to the more noted Kow Poh Ice Cream Shop along the main road leading to Bentong town... The owner of this stall is the nephew of the Kow Poh owner...
The stall is opened daily from 11.00am to about 7.00pm...
Favorite Dish: We tried the ABC after being told that besides Kow Poh, there is this related ice cream stall... However, we feed that the dessert in Kow poh is certainly better and there are more variety of dessert in Kow Pow...

The stall is only opened at night on the left side of Jalan Chui Yin which is closed for the purpose... Besides Ah Waa's stall, there is also a stall selling chicken rice, a dessert stall and stalls selling economy rice and bak kut teh... Ah Waa's char keow teow comes with bean sprouts and cockles... It is the only char keow teow stall in all of Bentong... Dining is open aired and cool if it does not rain...
The stall is opened from about 7.00pm to 11.00pm daily...
Favorite Dish: Ah Waa only fried keow teow... There is also the normal deep fried curler (yeow char kwai) and ham chee peng... Red bean soup and mak chook is also available...

The restaurant is newly opened in January 2009 for the Chine New Year... It is air-conditioned and sparkling clean... There is a variety of food available including yong tow foo (YTF), bread and toast and noodles (both soup and curry)...
The restuarant is opened daily for breakfast and lunch...
Favorite Dish: The food is fair but a bit pricy for a town like Bentong... The YTF at RM1.00 per piece is certainly high considering bigger and more tastely YTF in coffee shops around the town priced at 80 sen per piece... Perhaps, you have to pay for its ambience and dining in air-conditioned comfort...

The shop is noted for its hand-made egg noodles... Stall owner Mr Lee Hooi Chee has been in business for the last 32 years and the service is fast and friendly...
Favorite Dish: You can choose your noodles in soup or tossed in dark soy sauce topped with barbecued pork slices... The thick, milky coffee is also great here...
The satll is opened daily but closed on Wednesdays for breakfast and lunch...
