Walking around in the Jungle at night sounds a little crazy but let me calmly assure that 6 full grown adults did it. Yes, we walked around in the pitch farkness in Fraser's hill for a couple of nights just to look for the brown wood owl. And how did we look for it? We gave a little hoot every now and then and waited for the real owl to hoot back. We did this over at Jelai Highlands Resort, all the way down to Jalan Lady Maxwell . But did not see any owl? Nope, though we did hear an owl hoot back. It could have been another crazed birder for all we knew. Other creepy crawlies were sighted instead. Geckos, Bugs, Moths and Tarantulas!
Dress Code: It gets pretty chilly at night so bring a windbreaker and wear long pants. Also, it's pointless doing long range photography at night so bring along your macro lens along.

If you have the nerves of steel and balls of courage, then try walking in the dark with a torchlight. You'll see action ala National Geographic unfold before your very eyes at Fraser's Hill
This furry moth was fluttering around in the dark when I caught a shot of it, sans flash. It was illuminated by my friend's torchlight.
