Previously there is only one way to Cameron Highland and that's via Tapah through the narrow and winding road, but since 3 years ago there is another road via Simpang Pulai to Cameron Highlands in which you will see Kampong Raja first instead of Ringlet. This is also the road to link Perak and Gua Musang in Kelantan…Another link that connects the West Coast to the East Coast Of Peninsula Malaysia. But if you come from the south (eg. Johore or Singapore) and don't mind adding the extra mileage to your vehicle perhaps you can try the new route which is much wider and safer. We normally took the Simpang Pulai route on our journey home from Penang to Singapore if we want to stop over at Cameron highlands for a few days.

by imran8852 Long time ago you can find the indigenous aboriginal people called 'Orang Asli' roam around at certain places like Brincang or Tanah Rata selling honey and herbs but now they just set up the stall at the roadside or nearby their own home. If you are the orchid enthusiastic…You might find some rare orchid species at their stall if you are in luck!

So Many Type Of Flowers For You To Choose From! by imran8852, 2 more photos If you are really crazy about flowers like my mum, you could also get it at the night market in Brincang Town at a much cheaper price. The night market is only on Saturday night but I don’t know if they have change their schedule because seems like it's also one of the tourist attraction. Semi dried flowers will cost around RM1.00 per packet and they will give you extra packet if you buy a lot…My cousin get 15 packet for RM10.00. Roses are also very cheap…Buy some for your love one the next time you are in Cameron!

ornamental chilli by Wild_Orchid Would you believe that this was another type of ornamental chilli growing at the bungalow where I was renting while at Cameron Highlands? It's white and round, rather like tiny white rose buds. Imagine if you plucked them and served them to friends on a bowl of ice-cream...naughty, naughty! However, if you want to know how they taste, don't ask me, because I didn't try them. : D Leave a Comment

unique chilli by Wild_Orchid Take a look at this plant. It was growing at the garden of the bungalow where I was staying. It looks like a red flower, but is actually a unique shaped chilli! Isn't it great? I have never seen a similar chilli plant outside of Camerons. Leave a Comment

Roses by muddybok You can get 2 dozens (or more) of roses for the price of RM10 (USD 2.50). Sometime the seller will include a bunch of forget-me-not or other tiny flowers free with your purchase. You can negotiate prices will those aunts who are very kind with young guys like me. I didn't mean to take advantage, it's the offer & acceptance to seal the contract of selling. Leave a Comment

Flowers by muddybok Cameron Highlands is slightly colder than average Malaysian climate, due to its height & mountainous surrounding. Vegetables, fruits & flowers can be easy grown up there, because of thick fogs were covering the hills & make it a natural sprinkle system. These environment factors have somehow making agriculture as the main activity at Cameron Highlands. Leave a Comment
