    Turn Right To Cameron Highlands
    1 more image

Favorite thing: Previously there is only one way to Cameron Highland and that's via Tapah through the narrow and winding road, but since 3 years ago there is another road via Simpang Pulai to Cameron Highlands in which you will see Kampong Raja first instead of Ringlet. This is also the road to link Perak and Gua Musang in Kelantan…Another link that connects the West Coast to the East Coast Of Peninsula Malaysia. But if you come from the south (eg. Johore or Singapore) and don't mind adding the extra mileage to your vehicle perhaps you can try the new route which is much wider and safer. We normally took the Simpang Pulai route on our journey home from Penang to Singapore if we want to stop over at Cameron highlands for a few days.

Fondest memory: The Nice Weather And The beautiful Panoramic View Of The Mountains: Banjaran Titiwangsa or The Titiwangsa Range !!!

So Many Type Of Flowers For You To Choose From!

Favorite thing: If you are really crazy about flowers like my mum, you could also get it at the night market in Brincang Town at a much cheaper price. The night market is only on Saturday night but I don’t know if they have change their schedule because seems like it's also one of the tourist attraction. Semi dried flowers will cost around RM1.00 per packet and they will give you extra packet if you buy a lot…My cousin get 15 packet for RM10.00. Roses are also very cheap…Buy some for your love one the next time you are in Cameron!

Fondest memory: The Flowers And The Mesmerizing Panoramic View Of The Mountains!

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Long time ago you can find the indigenous aboriginal people called 'Orang Asli' roam around at certain places like Brincang or Tanah Rata selling honey and herbs but now they just set up the stall at the roadside or nearby their own home. If you are the orchid enthusiastic…You might find some rare orchid species at their stall if you are in luck!

    White Chilli Plants

    ornamental chilli

Favorite thing: Would you believe that this was another type of ornamental chilli growing at the bungalow where I was renting while at Cameron Highlands? It's white and round, rather like tiny white rose buds. Imagine if you plucked them and served them to friends on a bowl of ice-cream...naughty, naughty!

However, if you want to know how they taste, don't ask me, because I didn't try them. : D

    gorgeous green chrysanthemum

Favorite thing: with the high altitude, mother nature's works up here in the highlands is interestingly different from what we get in the lowlands.. keep an eye open and you'll find lots of fascinating things to see.. an example was we spotted an amazing spider web, along the road on the way, that spun in such a way that there are multiple webs supported by a big one.. unfortunately, the picture we took of it didn't really show.. anyway, have fun looking around..

    Roses

Favorite thing: You can get 2 dozens (or more) of roses for the price of RM10 (USD 2.50). Sometime the seller will include a bunch of forget-me-not or other tiny flowers free with your purchase.

You can negotiate prices will those aunts who are very kind with young guys like me. I didn't mean to take advantage, it's the offer & acceptance to seal the contract of selling.

Favorite thing: Take a look at this plant. It was growing at the garden of the bungalow where I was staying. It looks like a red flower, but is actually a unique shaped chilli! Isn't it great?

    Flowers & Vegetables

    Flowers

Favorite thing: Cameron Highlands is slightly colder than average Malaysian climate, due to its height & mountainous surrounding. Vegetables, fruits & flowers can be easy grown up there, because of thick fogs were covering the hills & make it a natural sprinkle system. These environment factors have somehow making agriculture as the main activity at Cameron Highlands.

    Towns of Cameron

by kielorla Written May 22, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: In Cameron, there are 3 towns, Ringlet ( the lowest point of cameron), Tanah Rata ( the middle point of cameron and also the main town) and lastly Brinchang ( the highest point of cameron).

Most of the attractions are located in Tanah Rata and Brinchang, therefore if you want to find a accommadation, these 2 towns are the better choices.

Fondest memory: Try the mountain trekking is you have the time, it is very wonderful and also you can trekked up to the highest point and have a bird eye view of cameron. Also the waterfall, i missed the falls, the water is so cooling and clear.

    The Prince of Daffodils

Favorite thing: Daffodils in Cameron Highland.
Few drives from Brinchang town, more farms can be found along the road. Plenty of stalls selling strawberries (but sour one).
Then we passed one of the hills which contained wild daffodils, im so excited and straight away jump in to the wild bush with the feeling like the children of the Sound of Music.
