    Don't Forget Your Sweater!!!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Sweater & Comfortable Walking Shoes

Photo Equipment: Camera, Batteries And Films If you are not using digital. You can still buy it at some of the shop if you don't mind the price!

Miscellaneous: As I've found out that the weather in Cameron Highlands never range more than 21ْC so other than your toiletries and medical supplies do not forget to bring your sweater too, as the weather will be much colder during night time. If you forget to bring your sweater, you can also buy it at Brincang night market on Saturday night. You will be doing a lot of walking in Cameron Highlands so bring along a comfortable walking shoes, water bottles, small torch light etc.…And don't forget your camera!

    Unlike the rest of Malaysia

by sourbugger Updated Sep 17, 2003

Luggage and bags: Include a small rucksack for day walks.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The walking is not that hard but some good 'walking' type trainers would be useful and a food thick pair of socks to avoid leeches and other creepie-crawlies when out
    in the jungle.

Also a sweater / jumper as at this height it can quite chilly at night.

Photo Equipment: It can be quite dark in the canopy of the jungle, so slower film or more light might be required

Boss, it's a jungle out there

Long trousers and a light jacket

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you have been travelling around Malaysia for some time, the evenings in the Cameron Highlands can be quite cool. Bring a sweater or light jacket and maybe even a pyjama as the guesthouses are mostly not heated.

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Trekking shoes
    Rain jacket
Something to keep you warm if you are not used to chill climates

Photo Equipment: Lots of plants there. So if you are the kinds that like to take pictures of rain forests and plants and trees, bring appropriate equipment.

  • Light jacket & medicine

by vonvonz Written Oct 16, 2006

Luggage and bags: Try to travel as light as possible, there's a lot of walking, slopes and stairs.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: tracking shoes would be nice, light clothing and maybe a jacket for the night.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: try to prepare medicines for upset stomach, although it is available in town which is quite a distance away, it's better to have them by your side.

It can get a bit parky!

by Loops Written Mar 24, 2008

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It gets cold in the Highlands. We really messed up on the packing and didnt' take enough warm clothes and had to buy a couple of things. Make sure you take at least one jumper and one pair of long trousers, and maybe even a raincoat (especially if you're going walking).

    Cool Weather

    by ishi01 Updated Nov 6, 2003

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A long sleeve jersey would be more comfy if you are not used to strolling about in 16 degrees centigrade.

Miscellaneous: Maybe an umbrella or raincoat - just in case

    Long sleeves and pants
