This restaurant signature dish is Stuffed crab, Cheese Lobster, Butter Prawns, Thai style Chicken, Assam Steam fish, Pak Su Bean curd.
We had dinner at this restaurant and it was delicious. We had fish fillet in oyster sauce, Venision with dried chilli, Sizzling prawns, Squid in oyster sauce and bok choy with garlic.
Favorite Dish: I like the sizzling prawn and we asked the shop to clean the prawn so there was no problem with cleaning the prawns skin.
There is a drive thru Mc Donald at the beach area and its very popular amongs local to sit and eat at the beach area. Its open 24 hours so if you feel hungry after a night out you can grab a burger here.
Favorite Dish: I like the ambience as it look like you are in a green forest with all the trees here and you can enjoy your meal outdoor with the cool breeze from the sea.
There's plenty of food stalls at Teluk Chempedak, from local to western food. One particular stall serves the best Chicken & Lamp Chop in town (according to the locals). The black pepper gravy & mushroom sauce is yummy.. definitely thumbs up for me. and value for money
Definately Not on the Atkins Diet Planner

This coffee shop is newly opened in August 2004. It is kopitiam-style and serves coffee, tea, nasi lemak (santan rice), toast, some snacks, etc.
You can see some old deco in the coffee shop like the old Shanghai cover girl posters.
This is a Malay seafood restaurant where you can savour some of the popular local delights, like grilled fish (ikan bakar), Tom Yam Soup (spicy & sour soup). Seafood include prawns, fishes, squids, crabs, sea shells, etc. You can order the food to the cooking-style that you preferred.
Favorite Dish: However, their signature dish must be the spicy Tom Yam soup. It is served in a large portion and generous in ingredients like fish, chicken meat, squids & prawns. The price is only RM5 per bowl. Be prepared to try this fiery soup.
If you would like to taste the grilled fish wrapped in banana leaf, please proceed to the counter to select the type of fish that you like. The staff there will help you to weigh the fish and quote you the price. Ask for the various cooking method to suite your taste.
Along right hand side of the road, you can see many Malay restaurants offering grilled fish or seafood. As a general rule, remember to ask for the price per 100g of fish / seafood & bargain before they are put on the grill.
Yam Cake is not the actual name of this food but I did a translation from the Cantonese original name of Ooo-Tow-Koal. OTK is so delicious when you dip some sweet sauce and chili sauce they provided. The food is very cheap at less than RM2 for a plate full of delicious yummy creation by the Kuantanese of Yee Mee Restaurant. Please don't wait, you should try it.
Alif's is extremely popular with local's and visitors alike. At all hours of the day, the place is completely full. Including at 4am when you are coming home from a night at local bars. It has a large outside area so you can eat on the street with scrawny cats walking around your ankles. It is certainly an experience and I rarely spent a day in Kauntan that I didn't eat a meal at Alif's. It is also extremely good value. A meal of curry and roti can cost less than US$0.50.
Favorite Dish: Roti and fish head curry. Very tasty!!
Little Vietnam is a newly opened restaurant in Kuantan. The owner comes from Melbourne, Australia and has brought a touch of class to this restaurant. It is stylishly decorated and a lovely atmosphere. The food is sensational, and although not as cheap as the street vendors, it was still very affordable.
Favorite Dish: The Tom Yum soup was excellent. I went back about 3 times it was that good. The curry chicken with vermicilli was also great. The fruit slushies were also a big hit, especially since us Aussies were sweltering in the Malaysian heat,
This is another seafood restaurant and its located at the beach front and it serve Tom yom that spicy thai seafood soup.
Nothing particular here. It's just spacy and quite. I was there for lunch and i figure that this place is suitable for breakfast or tea breaks. They serve toast bread and various coffee/ teas.
